Any recommendations for Dining ?
My wife and I are going back to Disney this December for our 2 year anniversary. In 2005 (honeymoon) we really liked the themed restaurants, but they had to have good food.(example: Sci-Fi Dine in theatre) The theme was really neat, and the food was very good. Does anyone have some good recommendations along those lines ? We are trying to compe up with 5 nights worth of "sit-down" restaurants. We didnt like the italian restaurant in EPCOT @ Italy. The food was a little too authentic, and the seating reminded me of a high school cafateria. Eating elbow-to-elbow (literally) with a complete stranger. We loved yachtman's steakhouse,so we're definitley going back there. The crystal palace in MK had a cool theme, but the food was awful. Well, im just rambling on now....but any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanx.

Re: Any recommendations for Dining ?
have a great trip! sounds like you have 2 already picked out for sure! I think several restaurants have great food and great theming, but i also think you may find the tables cramped like you found them to be at Alfredo's. I have Marakesh and Lecellier are both pretty cramped, table wise, but food and atmosphere are wonderful. we are trying both this time, so I can't give you personal experience on that though. Tony's was pretty good food, and lady & the tramp theme. Have you checked menus on allears.net?
have fun & happy planning!

Re: Any recommendations for Dining ?
Alfredo's is gone. There will be a new Italian restaurant in it's place in the coming months.
Not on the dining plan, but highly recommended is Fulton's Crab House in Downtown Disney. Also good, and on the plan is Wolfgang Puck Cafe (downstairs). Narcoosee's at Grand Floridian, Flying Fish Cafe at the Boardwalk, and California Grill at the Contemporary are all good sitdown meals on par with Yachtsman's. Also good, but not on plan are Shula's and todd english's bluezoo in the Dolphin. I'm surprised you didn't like Crystal Palace, consider going there for breakfast instead. Of the other character meals, we prefer 1900 Park Fare, Chef Mickey's, and Donald's Breakfastosaurus, as well as Crystal Palace. Garden Grill didn't float my boat, the Ohana breakfast menu doesn't call out to me, and all of us at dinner at Ohana in January felt it wasn't up to reputation and those that had been there before said it was off. Concourse Steakhouse is also a good place to try, but hurry, it will be closing for good in the near future. Consider both Boma and Jiko at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Those would be some of my recommendations.

Re: Any recommendations for Dining ?
Restaurant Marrakesh in Ecpot.
The food is wonderful (don't be scared off by the menu - be willing to try something new too!!!!) and the service is probably the best we've seen in a park restaurant. They have their own website here: Restaurant Marrakesh Not a "theme" per se, but Spoodles is another winner.

Re: Any recommendations for Dining ?
During our last trip in '05 our 20th anniversary came up so she wanted to eat at Chefs deFrance. No biggie, I'm sure I can find something ther to eat.
IT WAS GREAT! Had a full meal from appetizer to dessert. Even had coffee (and I don't drink coffee) but this stuff was really good. Great restaurant. Anne-Sophie was our server Royal Mousse, Macaron, Crepe Salmon, Lobster Bisque(2),Roquefort salad, Cod Fish(2), Coke and coffee(2) $103.20

Re: Any recommendations for Dining ?
For a special anniversary meal I would chose the California Grill. The food is excellent as is the view. Plus you can watch the fireworks from the deck.

you should eat in Germany, I mean the one in Europe, there you plop down with strangers at the same table if they have room. Finding seating in the restaurants there is a free for all. It is a lot of fun to meet new people and tell lies.![]()
