I know that parks now have fruit stands, thank god. That should help.
Staying away from carbs at Disney could be considered a sin! LOL

My wife and I are unofficial weight watchers point system members. In other words, we follow the plan, but are not paying members.

We watch our points every day of the year. Last year we let loose and ate like kings. It was quite an enjoyable experience. We rationalized the endulgance with all the extra walking we did through the parks. Neither one of us gained a single pound.

We plan to do this again this year!!! Afterall, it is a vacation from your normal everyday life.

Just my opinion!!!

I figure with the amount of walking we will be doing, that it's ok to just eat what I want. It is vacation after all. But for those of you who have health concerns or other reasons why you want to stick to your plans while travelling I congratulate you. You are stronger than me:D

There is another thread around here somewhere about low caring in WDW. I am a low carber also. This nest trip will be the first time that I will attempt to do the low carb thing while I am on vacation. I plan on packing some of the Atkins bars to take with me to help out!:)

Cosmic Rays at MK has a great rotisserie chicken meal... comes with mashed potatoes though. And, Pinocchio's Village Hause at MK has a really good salad... Strombolli's chicken salad I think is the name. It has grilled chicken, bueu cheese and walnuts and a tasty dressing (may be high carb though!) Several of the counter service restaurants at MK offer carrot sticks with your meal instead of fries... I know Cosmic Rays does.

I did Atkins for about a year. I would recommend bringing your own snacks to Disney. Slim jims are a great snack to put in a bag and eat when you're hungry. Since almost every thing at Disney is LOADED with carbs, I really think to that this would be a week to forget the diet during the day. Meat, eggs, cheese and salads don't work on vacation. Have a great vacation.
