i posted this, my ADR's, in another thread but i really wanted to ask a question to get some opinions. i'm going to purchase the dining plan and my question is, since i'm well over the four table meals i will have between me and my wife, where are the best places to use the dining plan and where should i just pay for meals- based on these restuarants?
well i just got off the phone with the nicest CM you ever talked to, Alice, and i now have everything i need except the airfare. i have AKL with savanna view, 4 day hoppers, and i changed up my ADR's a little more. i got rid of crystal palace in favor of chef mickey. WHOOOO HOOOOO

"ok, i called this morning and this is how it turned out-
dec. 16th- the flight (i'm going to schedule either tonight or tomorrow) arrives in orlando at 2:50 pm. that will give us enough time to get settled in, maybe a little park time, and then to whispering canyon's for 6pmnow at 7:00pm.

december 17th. i wanted to get CRT but of course it was totally booked and there were no openings for the time we will be there so instead:
Chef mickey at 8amnow CRT at 8:30a
Hoop-dee-doo at 5:15pm

december 18th
playhouse disney at 8am
le cellier at 6 pm

december 19th
crystal place at 8amnow chef mickey at 8:30am
boma at 6pm

december 20th pack and go home.

now, i saw that someone said that you need your room confirmation number to make ADR's but i didn't. the CM just asked what day i would be arriving. also, using my figers and toes, i couldn't get the exact 180 days out right. i even used that online clock from someone else's post and came up wrong. the CM told me i could have actually called earlier and that today was the day to call for 180 days out from dec. 20th.

anyway, i offered my wife's younger brother to tag along so i'm making dang sure he's coming before i order the package deal through disney because that's going to have airfare in it. well, all in all i'm happy with the ADR's. ya'll are big helps here."

I always look up the prices online, usually Deb's Unofficial Walt Disney World Vacation Information Guide - WDW Planning Guide - Walt Disney World and pay for the CHEAPEST meals, they usually end up being the breakfast's.

You picked alot of good choices, congrats!!

Today was the 180 day mark for Dec.16th travel date. If you use the PS calculator that is the day they give you. ALSO - if you really want the CRT for the 17th, call back tomorrow at 7am. That is the 180 day mark for that date and that means they will release MORE tables tomorrow!!!
That's how I got my ADR this morning!!!

thanks for the link, i'll definetly check it out. i really thought i had all the i dotted and t's crossed but when i called this morning, i swear the CM told me that this was the booking day for trips starting on the 20th. i surely wasn't going to argue, but i was sure i had counted right and the PS calculator confirmed.. well, you can betcha i'll be calling in the morning again. at any rate, they let me do my ADR's without having secured my resort reservations yet. (which i intend to to tomorrow)

I guess you can call 5 different CM's and get 5 different answers!

You got some good ones there. Keep trying every morning at 7am for CRt. They only open somany tables at a time. As for needing your reservation number, that's just an option. I usually give my phone number.

The first time I called Sunday and gave the CM my phone #, she would not continue the call without my hotel conf. #
I had to hang up and find it and call back and the next CM asked me again for it. What did they think I was trying to book ADR's w/o hotel reservations?
They must have caller ID and when my Phone # shows up it must say SCAMMER or something!
After that nobody asked me again!

we got CRT for 08:30 on december 17th. i called this morning and i grumbly asked if there were ANY opening for CRT on the 17th and the CM asked for what time. i said any time that they have an opening. she said, "what time? the whole day is open!" i hurried up and scheduled and got a confirmation and asked why had the CM yesteday told me there were no opening and that i had called a few days late. she said she didn't know why and that today was the first day to call for dec. 17th at 180 days
well, at any rate, they still didn't ask for my resort hotel confirmation.(Val, they must just be after you ) well, i'm going to try and get the resort resevations done today if all this dang work would quit coming in. oh yeah, i'm going to have to reschedule chef mickey. i think i'm going to get rid of the crystal palace b/c DD doesn't really like pooh and neither do i. much prefer mickey

some sort of miracle.. i think not... it's me.. haha.. really, i'm very shocked how everything is falling out so right.. i really should schedule another day, but we kinda want to get home and get ready for christmas. we have yet to do an extended stay at disney, so i'm thinking either next year's trip or the one after will be for at least seven day's. i'd really like to do one like R2G did for 24 days.. how on earth do people get away with that?

Iam so happy you got it!!!! Does in not make sense that you can call 180 days from your arrival date for you ENTIRE trip but certain restaurants they dont release all the seats until 180 days before the Actual date??? Confusing but at any rate, we both got IN!!!!

I think they thought I was lying when I said I arrive on the 14th but want to make my first ADR for the 15th!
