Need help getting to Boma for Breakfast

Staying at Pop Century, no car

We have 8:30 reservations for Boma in November. What is the best way to get there and approximately how long will it take?

Go to the Animal kingdom park and transfer to the AKL bus. The AKL is only about 5minutes from the AK park. You could also grab a taxi from your resort.

Re: Need help getting to Boma for Breakfast

Option #1 - Driving Time (car or taxi) is : 17 mins.

Option #2 - Disney's Pop Century Resort (BUS) Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park (BUS) Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge : 39 mins.

Use this site for all your transport questions/options and times. Its a great travel tool that I use regularly.

Hope this helps!

I think your best bet, if you want to leave as late as possible, would be to get a cab. But, if you are willing to get up a little early, and leave the resort a little early, you can do the bus thing. It isn't that it takes a long time, you just like to have a little cushion, just in case. We have done this multiple times with breakfast ADR's at different resorts, and never had problems.

Re: Need help getting to Boma for Breakfast

Just thought of something. With your ADR being 8:30am, you are going to need to get a cab in order to get there on time. I would either make that ADR 9am or just plan on taking the cab. You may be able to get a bus by 7:15am to one of the theme parks and then take a bus to the AKL...the problem with this is, it can and will take from 45minutes to an hour that early in the morning. Take the cab. It will cost you about $14.

Re: Need help getting to Boma for Breakfast

I saw the bus to Blizzard Beach, but it does not open until 10 am

also bus to AK, which does not open until 9 am

so if I allowed the approx 45 minutes travel and get early, leave POP 7:30-7:45, do buses run to either of these places at this time?

What would a taxi run for this trip?

The bus for the AK open before 9am. They start sending buses there at 7:15am. They have their charater breakfast that starts at 8:05am.

Re: Need help getting to Boma for Breakfast

The AK bus will be running by 7:30 in order for guests to make it to AK for preopening breakfast reservations at Donald's Breakfastosaurus. I'd still be wary about getting a bus back to any hotel from any park that early. They are concentrating more on bringing guests to the parks in the morning and the buses are dynamically dispatched so the bus that just came from Pop is just as likely to be going to the Poly as going back to the Pop.
Take the taxi, it will probably cost about $15.

Sorry, I thought your ADR was for dinner from your first post. In this case, the taxi would really be your best bet like everyone said.

Have fun, Boma has a great breakfast. I love the Jungle Juice!
