? about Rose & Crown

In all of our WDW trips we have never eaten at the R&C. I'm thinking about giving it a try in Aug, but was confused about something. Is the "Pub" and the Restaurant the same except one is more in the bar area? I notice there are 2 different menus, but are both table service where you can make an ADR? I actually like the Pub menu better since there is a London Broil sandwich that sounded really good.

Thanks!

I honestly thought they were the same thing. But... there is a bar area. There's a little gate, and inside, there is bar seating and more table seating. I suppose that might be the actual "Pub." I never knew that there were different menus...

(but I did notice, on one of my bathroom trips, where I must enter the pub, that the people back there seem quite... happy)

Ah, but you've just got to love that you have to walk past every drunk in the pub to get to the bathrooms.

The food in the restaurant is great--try the fruit and cheese plate to start and then go for the steak. Service is friendly and helpful but the best part is the view of Illuminations from the outside patio! It'll blow your socks off!

Huh... silly me.. I never even knew they had an inside pub. We did in fact eat inside.. but I just thought it was a dining area.

Re: ? about Rose & Crown

Here's the menu for Rose and Crown

Never eaten there, but gotten very drunk a few times at R&C. It's the best place to visit for free beer during the Food and Wine festival! They give you five free beers!!!

I do know you can make ADRs and have heard getting a sidewalk table is a good place to watch Illuminations. We have (surprisingly) never done it. I'd recommend doing the ADR around 8:00-8:15-ish if they allow them that late. Illuminations is typically at 9 (except on 4th of July and New Years Eve). If you are planning on enjoying after dinner drinks, you may want to make the ADRs a little earlier just to make sure there are no waits.
