Hollywood & Vine for dinner
Has anyone eaten at H&V at MGM recently? I've been planning on doing Fantasmic dinner there (if its offered in July), but my cousin was at WDW Easter week and they hated H&V!!! She said her DH felt sick after eating there and was sick the whole next day! She also didn't feel it looked very clean. Was she being picky, an off night? I really want to do a Fantasmic dinner so we don't have to wait in line with DD for too long. We went to Mama Melrose's 2 yrs ago and wasn't that wild about it and I didnt really want to do Brown Derby w/3yr old. Are 50 Prime time or Sci Fi ever in Fantasmic package? Please help with opinion on H&V!! Thanks!

We have done breakfast and lunch there .. its my youngest granddaughters fav because of Minnie being dressed formal and all the dancing :) But we have never been there for dinner
the food was great every time we have ever been there.

We were there in October for breakfast and really enjoyed it! Of course, Minnie is great there. She and Goofy put on a great show and the floor plan is good for the way it all works. Goofy danced with my granddaughter. Really cute! The breakfast was good -- better than good, actually. Unfortunately, most restaurants have a more difficult time being clean, etc, for dinner. The food is another issue. Hope if you get PS that you are happy with the food and experience.
Be sure to let us know! :)

Two years ago we I made reservations for dinner there thinking it was with characters- it wasn't. We didn't think it was so clean or special either, but maybe that was our disappointment over my mistake about characters.

Just so everyone knows...H and V no longer do character meals, so if you are looking for characters there you will be disappointed. We ate there recently and didnt see any problems with cleanliness..no one in our party was ill after eating there either.

We are going to do the Fantasmic Dinner show during our upcoming trip. I'll fill you in on what we experience upon my return. I'm so excited! We've never done Fantasmic or H & V. I'm sure neither will disappoint us!!

We do the H&V dinner package nearly every trip and always enjoy the food. We did eat there once towards the end of dinner seating hours and some of the food looked "old". We try to eat at the earlier seatings at all buffets that way the food is hot and fresh! We've also done lunch a couple of times and DD loved starlit minnie and ganster goofy... so sad that they discontinued it!!
Another option would be Mama Melrose! I persoanlly haven't eaten there but have heard good reviews. And, what 3 yr old doesn't like spaghetti?? |

We had a character breakfast there. It would be a real shame if it was canceled. Minnie and Goofy were so much fun! And so different! They put on a really cute show and Goofy danced with my granddaughter! When you call, you might ask if they still do the character breakfast.
Good luck! :)
