This can't be right?!?!

Would we have to pay the child's price for an almost 2 year old at CRT? All other menus on allears show a child as 3-9 but CRT just says child. Would we have to pay for him? That makes it totally not worth it. We've been twice before already.

We didn't. DD was 2 1/2 at the time, and we were not charged.

Re: This can't be right?!?!

I know before the new pricing was in effect you didn't have to pay. I just thought something may have changed.

I don't think you would have to pay for a child that young. But, it won't hurt to call Disney Dining, just to make sure!!

Re: This can't be right?!?!

I would be so surprised if you had to pay given the fact that all children's menus are for ages 3-9. We've been twice and had a great time but we waited until DD was 5 to make it worth the price of having to pay for her.

Re: This can't be right?!?!

No, if you order a special meal for the child you would, but if its a buffet or if the infant (disney calls under 3's infants) eats off an adult plate then you wouldn't. DD was 1.5 last time and we only paid for her the one time we ordered her a dish at Mexico. Lots of times we ordered her a dish at other restaurants and they still didn't charge us for her for some reason...and then that one time a mexico we were on DDP and they took an ADULT TS credit!!! Of course that was fixed.

Disney has an odd sense of "childhood". A 2 year old is an "infant" and a 10 year old is an "adult". Curiouser and Curiouser.

I can't imagine you'd have to pay for him, but call Disney Dining to confirm it - I'm just saying it, cause Peppertink said it too.

Re: This can't be right?!?!

Child is considered 3- 9 in all WDW resataurants. Call WDW-DINE and confirm this, but I am 100% certain.

Dana is correct. Anyone under 3 does not pay, unless you order something specifically for them.

My 2 year old will not be charged for ANY meals at WDW...she eats off of all of our plates! Unless you order a special meal for your 2 year old, you WILL NOT be charged.

Re: This can't be right?!?!

usually we don't even order a full meal for DD3 (almost 4) - she shares with DD6, DH and I. there is usually plenty of food for all of us. But, since she is 3, and on DDP, she'll get her own meal, and we'll have WAY too much. but, she and DD6 will share, so they'll enjoy that. they get to try different stuff that way too!

Re: This can't be right?!?!

i did my ADR's a few weeks ago and the CM actually made the mistake of charging me for my 2yr old for CRT. she caught the mistake and had to credit my CC. so, as everyone else said, under 3 is not charged.
