from Poly to Beach Club

On our departure day our plane leaves at 3:00 pm. I thought it might be fun to do a character meal before we leave. I figure our towncar will pick us up 2 1/2 - 3 hrs before our plane leaves, so...I thought we would have to do a breakfast. I was thinking about the Cape May at BC. How would I get to BC from Poly? And how long do you think it would take? If its too complicated we may just do the breakfast at Ohana, but then I'm afraid we might have TOO much free time after we check out and b/f going to the airport.

hmmmmm, I am far from an expert at this, but, I'd take the monorail to EPCOT , then walk through EPCOT, out through the International Gateway to the Beach Club.
I guess this would take a while, but, be a fun way to get there.
I am sure you'll get some better advice shortly.
Have Fun!!!!!!!

Monorail or boat to the MK, then bus to BC. You would need a park ticket to go through Epcot as suggested earlier.

Another alternative, bus to MGM, then boat to BC.

the Epcot route won't work since we wont have park hopper anymore. Can I also take monorail to TTC and then bus to BC? Or is it easier to go to MK and take bus at BC?

The character breakfast at the Beach Club is a great choice for your last morning!

We took a taxi from the BoardWalk to the Polynesian (on our last trip) and it took about 15 minutes and cost $10. It is a quick and no hassle way to travel!

Taking a bus from the MK will be the simplest way to travel to the BC from the Polynesian. Walking from the Disney Studios is an option...but will take about 45 min- 1 hr (bus, boat and walk time).

Since the straight monorail ride is out because you won't have a pass to get into Epcot....I would hop the monorail at Poly and go to Magic Kingdom and then take a bus to Beach Club. The bus usually comes through every 20-minutes or so. When you get to Beach Club, go through the lobby and Cape May will be to your right. Have your camera ready because Minnie Mouse is usually greeting right at the restaurant door. :)

Thanks for the info!!! Sounds easy enough! I was worried that it might be more trouble than its worth for our last day, but you all make it sound very doable!!! Thanks!

i would walk to ttc (since it's right next door to poly) and take bus directly to beach club, then you won't be transferring all over the place...
:)

Have you considered Chef Mickey's for a character breakfast? With it being in the Contemporary and you staying at the Polynesian, you wouldn't have to worry about transportation.

I havn't had the pleasure of the breakfast buffet at the Beach Club (i soon will we're going 10/03) I did do the breakfast at the Polynesian (Ohana's). I found it to be very sedate, not many characters, activities (consisted of a little parade around the room) - no pizazz (and I absolutely love the Poly). Now it could have just been an off day (we all have them) it was the middle of Nov. However it sould like you'd like to go out with a bang with something to remember!!. I'd go beach club and take a taxi - enjoy, it's only about $20.00 round trip plus tip and then you won't have to worry about catching buses, making transfer you can just enjoy your last precious moments in the most wonderful place on earth. And if you find you have extra time take a walk around the Boardwalk before taking the taxi back. Have a wonderful trip...:)

thanks for all the help. Our last day I definately want to do something fun and go to a place we haven't been before. We are already going to Chef Mickey's the night we arrive and I didn't really want to do Ohana since we are staying at Poly and might not seem "special"enough. Also we need to do something that will keep us occupied for a few hours before we leave.
