Cinderella's Royal Table . . . is it worth the $$?
Feb 2008, my DD3 wants to go to the BBB and have a meal with the Princesses for her 4th birthday! (Yes, her request, she's my little glamor girl!) So . . . now that the BBB is in the castle, I thought GREAT . . . Hit BBB (hair and nails) and then across the hall and breakfast with the Princesses! $21.99 for an "all you can eat" breakfast for a CHILD? $31.99 for an adult? I know it includes a photo package . . . BUT, on a good day, she'll maybe eat one egg and a piece of bacon!!
So . . . long story short . . . who has done this? And, is it worth the $$? AND, what exactly do you get? Thanks in advance. ![]() |

Re: Cinderella's Royal Table . . . is it worth the $$?
Well, it depends on how badly your daughter likes the Princesses.
We have twin daughters who will be 4 this September. We took them to CRT when they were 20 months, and again for their 3rd birthday. (we're going back in October, this time with their 20 month old brother). They absolutely loved it. They got to meet many of the "big time" Princesses like Sleeping Beauty, Belle, etc. (and of course Cinderella, who you meet for a photo in the lobby before you head upstairs for your meal). Like any character meal, it's a little less frantic than waiting in line for a photo and autograph. (and the food isn't half bad either). Bottom line, is anything at WDW worth what they charge in pure material terms? We're paying for the experience. I can say, without reservation, that if your daughter is into the Princesses, the experience will be (as the Credit Card commercial says) "priceless". BTW, last time we went for lunch. I would definitely recommend going for breakfast as I think the menu is a bit more kid-friendly.

I'd only recommend this if your girl "must" see princes and princesses and for first time, or never done before visitors.
I think with the photo package, the must do status of CRT is largely in question.

Re: Cinderella's Royal Table . . . is it worth the $$?
We have done CRT 3x's. In the past, we met Cinderella, Belle, Mary Poppins, Aurora, & Snow White. The food was very good. They will bring you as much as you want. You will never have an empty orange juice glass. The princess' stick around just long enough to sign an autograph and pose for a picture... then they are off to another table.
I have heard that NOW you get your picture taken in the lobby with Cinderella as part of your package. It used to be that a fairy god mother was sitting down there and you took turns getting a photo with her. With the price increase & the fact that we have a lot of pics from CRT already, we probably will not do it again... unless DD requests or for a special occasion. I will say that the last time we were there.. we felt rushed.. but maybe it was just the day we were there. |

Re: Cinderella's Royal Table . . . is it worth the $$?
We haven't doe CRT since the price and package changes, but we have done all the princess meals. Honestly, I really enjoyed the others more. However, there is a certain something about eating in the castle, and if you've never done it before, it's worth it one time atleast.
You could take her for lunch/dinner at 1900 Park Fare (in the GF) which is only 1 monorail stop away from MK. There will be Cinderella, Prince Charming and Suzie and Perla (the mice), and I really loved the ambiance of that restaurant.

Re: Cinderella's Royal Table . . . is it worth the $$?
I think that you MUST do it for a 4th birthday- its a special treat and something every princess must do at least once. Its not perfect food and its not really worth the money to do over and over again but for a little princess who will only be little once to experience what its like to be among princesses in a castle, well there is nothing like it. (I am now in tears as my daughter was 4 when we took her the first time and I still get teary thinking of it and how much she loved Cinderella) Now Em is 10 and just not as into it all as she was then.

I'll echo, it's one of the very few ways to see the "inside" of the castle and the only way to guarantee your precious will see all the princesses. That's what they're charging for!

It was nice to be inside the castle and the Princesses were great however, we didnt care for the menu at all and wouldn't do it again.

Re: Cinderella's Royal Table . . . is it worth the $$?
I would say if you've never been and for her birthday, yes. However, 1900 Park Fare is AWESOME and they have Cinderella, Prince Charming, and the mice! We've done CRT 2x once for Emilie's 5th birthday. We also had 1900 Park Fare the same week and 1900 made a MUCH bigger deal over her birthday! My DD didn't eat anything either time at CRT but to see her face was well worth the $$.

Oh, don't forget to pick up an "it's my birthday" pin at guest relations on the way into the park, and if you make a reservation for CRT, make sure to tell them that it'll be your daughter's birthday.

Re: Cinderella's Royal Table . . . is it worth the $$?
We have done this twice in the past and you are definitely paying for the "experience". I thought the food was okay but the rest of the "experience" was wonderful. My DD celebrated her 5th birthday there and the princesses definitely spent some time with her, they even signed a keepsake placemat for her and brought out her cupcake. The staff was great and the view is very nice. It is pricey and don't feel the need to do it again but I'm glad that we have done it.

Re: Cinderella's Royal Table . . . is it worth the $$?
I filed this experience in the "need to experience it just once" pile.
It was very cool and I'm glad I got to see it for myself, but once is enough for that kind of money.

Re: Cinderella's Royal Table . . . is it worth the $$?
Thanks for everyones feedback . . . I appreciate it!! BUT, I'm still unsure . . .
$31.99 x 3 = $95.97 / $21.99 x 2 = $43.98 / BBB $49.95 $189.00 for a 4 year olds birthday . . . hmmmm! We ate in the castle back in 2004 for my DD7 5th birthday, this was pre-princesses . . . and we weren't thrilled with the food then (altho it was a dinner, NOT breakfast) And you are all right it is the experience and it is the easiest . . . BBB then across the hall to breakfast with the Princesses . . . altho I am liking the 1900 Park Fare idea and then a boat or monorail to the castle for the BBB . . . We are APs, so we do visit all the time . . . and on our August trip we are doing the Princess Dinner at Epcot . . . decisions, decisions . . . Birthday button: Yes, we do this every year for my DD7 . . . well the past 2 anyway . . . Did you know if you tell them at hotel check-in it's your birthday, you get balloons in your room and a card from your favorite character? That's always FUN too!! Thanks again for all your suggestions!! ![]() |
