Souviners Keepsakes for Kids

One of the most prized possessions of my DS's are their disney autograph books and their pressed penny collection. It's great because each time we go I bring them along and they get new signatures and new pennies. And they are so busy looking for new character and new penny locations that they don't ask for toy that will eventually end up at the bottom of the toy box.

Welcome to DC

HIpreidel24 Welcome to DisneyCentral :) our granddaughters get a new book every year ..they love all the autographs but by far thier favorite book is from Mil Village .. it is full of interesting things written by the people that were there. Most would write in thier language first then in English.
Last year at Sci-fi drive in the girls got "drivers license" .. the years before that they got glow in the dark frisbees there with Sci-fi on them. And they have several Farm hats from The Garden Grill :) a lot of these little "freebees" have been fazed out it seems :(

My neice and nephew (twins) collect the porcaline (sp?) figurines. They are so adorable, and affordable, too. They have several of them and plan to buy more this trip. I know my DD wants to start her collection this trip (and so do I!!)

My son is a pin collector (okay...pin freak!!). He is always on the hunt for a "good pin" and this trip we stocked up at the Disney Store before they stopped selling them and he is going to "trade, trade, trade!!"

BDavis, your new avatar is BEAUTIFUL!!!!

We TRY to leave a page in between each autograph, so next to the autograph, we tape the picture of our kids with that character!:) They each have their own books, and often different photos too! They show their friends and say, "There's me with Tigger, and that's his autograph!!"

I actually get a small photo album and have the character sign on the page itself with a sharpie. Then when I place the photo in the sleeve, it looks like an autographed photo. Just a different take... :D

At first I thought we'd take autograph books for each of the boys, but then got to thinking about who would be carrying the books most of the time (me). Since I really want my hands free for taking pictures, I've thought that since the boys are blonde headed and really need to wear hats, I'd have hats for each boy for each park and they could get those signed. If we go on a wet ride, we can always slip them in a plastic bag and into the backpack.

Do you think that would work ok?

Do you collect all the different versions of the characters (farmer, movie star etc) you see or just get one of each (one mickey, one minnie etc) What do they write in the books?

Thanks!
