Where can I get a good lunch in MGM??

I'm very disappointed that we will not be able to try Hollywood & Vine's character lunch! So with no character lunches in MGM where can we go eat a good sit down lunch with a good atmosphere that my DD will like (she will be 3 1/2 when we go this time)? NOT 50's we've been there and it was okay but we don't plan on going back!
I kind of like the look of say Mama Melroses or Sci-Fi.

OMG!!! Yet another coincidence! Now this is getting scary!!!

My DD will also be 3 1/2 AND I am planning on doing Sci-Fi this trip because we did 50's last trip. I am holding out hope though that by the new year they will introduce a new character meal there!!!

:) What do ya think???

Tinkerbell, that is so cool, I never heard that. What about a glow in the dark frisbee, what's that all about? Thanks,

Will,

This is a toughie... For our family, it'd be a no-brainer for Mama Melrose's. I like the food, the service, and it's a nice quiet break. But... I say that because I have experienced Sci-Fi before. IMO, there's alot not to like about Sci-Fi (the food, repetitive movie, awkward seating - especially really little ones)...but it is something that should probably be experienced once.

Okay Amy this is getting scary! All that needs to happen now is one of us has to change our dates and we end up at WDW at the same time! :D It is amazing how much we seem to have in commom WDW wise. I too am hoping Disney will announce a new character meal there before next year.

I have to say I'd do Mama Melrose before the Sci Fi. We went to Sci FI with 2 kids and they didn't even like it! MM will give you a much quieter break too.

I guess it depends alot on the age of the children. our granddaughters have always loved it ..but then I cant think of any place at Disney they didnt care for to be honest. Of course they have just about always sat in the front seat of the car .. and so they were considered the "drivers" .. and they do have tables you can sit at but to us the cars are more fun.

Summer issue of Disney Magazine has an interview with one of the carhops at Sci-Fi and he mentions the frisbees :) so they do still give them out .. maybe if they dont offer them you should ask
