I can make my ADRs but where?
I can make my ADRs for our June trip Tuesday and I haven't even thought about what we're doing or where we're going. We're hoping we don't use many snow days this winter so we can add up to a week on the front end of our stay but we won't know if that will happen until late March so right now we are just planning a week at the beginning of June. So far we know we want to do: Hoop Dee Doo Le Cellier Places we are thinking about: Todd English's bluezoo--any comments?? California Grill Flying Fish (been there) Crique du Soleil We are not going to use the dining plan this trip. There are several reasons but mainly the fact that our son will be an adult as of May 31. There is no way he will eat $40 a day in fries! We are going with our good friends and have 6 nights booked at BCV in a 2 bedroom lock off. We have already decided that this trip is not about hitting the parks hard all day but more about relaxing at a wonderful resort. We want to do some evening EMHs so that will mean taking it easy for at least part of the day some days. I'm going to have to really work hard on not feeling guilty as we relax and let our AP slowly expire.......

Re: I can make my ADRs but where?
I haven't heard anything about blue zoo that I remember. I would try it. Can't hurt right. Since you are making this trip about relaxing and EMH at night, why not pick some great meals? What you have so far is perfect.
What about Jinko or Boma too? I don't see O'hanna on you list and I know that's one of your favorites. How about Tutto Italia?

Steph... are you interested in trying the new Teppan Edo restaurant? I would want to give it a try since the refurb and check out the new menu... we loved Teppanyaki, so the new version must be to die for!

Re: I can make my ADRs but where?
AKL restaurants really don't interest me, I don't know why but they don't.
We were thinking about 'Ohana but there's a $5 per person holiday charge for the whole month of June and that's making me re-think our buffet and family style meals. I think it's bull and the only way I can show my view is to stay away from those restaurants. I may change my mind and I'm sure we'll do one character meal but we might as well go to Kona if we're going to pay an extra $15 for my family and $25 for our friends. Since when is all of June a holiday? I don't mind paying a little more at Christmas, I expect that no matter where we go, but June? Ok, rant over. I'll have to check out the menu for Tutto Italia.

That's a good idea, especially since we're staying at BCV and we're a party of 8 already.

Re: I can make my ADRs but where?
I just checked out the Teppan Edo menu, and I am getting hungry! If you do end up at Teppan Edo, you can time it so you leave the place just as Illuminations is starting, and you can have the whole balcony of Japan to yourselves! It is such a cool place to view from, and I don't know why more people don't go there!

Re: I can make my ADRs but where?
We've got 9:15 reservations for Teppan Edo tomorrow night (holy cow, is it really tomorrow?). Illuminations is at 9:30, so we'll probably get seated, order, and go outside to watch.
(Depending on where you stand on that balcony, you have a lot of semi obstructed views)(and don't be advertising how underpopulated a viewing spot is, next time you go, it'll be so crowded you won't be able to get upstairs)

Re: I can make my ADRs but where?
By the way, we ate at Bluezoo early this year and enjoyed it. Also, another MBer posted they'd eaten there and enjoyed it as well.
California Grill and Flying Fish are both good choices, but I might be inclined to argue they're a little less "up in the clouds" at Flying Fish than some CMs I've had at Cali Grill. La Nouba isn't good to eat, but it is a feast for the eyes. If you've seen and liked other Cirque shows, you'll like this one. If you've been to one of their traveling shows, you'll really appreciate this show being performed in a permanent theater with a 60 foot ceiling instead of the tent. And your boy should like the show too.

What about the Turf Club and SSR? Wish has been raving about it in her report. What else was it, Raglan Road had the best desserts?

Re: I can make my ADRs but where?
We really enjoyed our visit to the BlueZoo, very
fresh food, good service and its really a cool room. One neat feature is thier presentation of the food. Some of the plates are shaped like an S on its side and are very heavy, in fact they use a cart to bring your food to the table. Pricey but we have talked about that before, you know the whole "eat, drink and be merry" for tomorrow you will be back home thing How about some other choices likeIl Mulino, WolfGang Puck Cafe, Artist Point. We also like the California Grill, but if they are snooty to me like they were to our Dopey, I will take them to the side and give them a couple of head noogies! ![]()

Re: I can make my ADRs but where?
Definitely keep the Le Cellier. I loved that. I enjoyed ohana too, but understand about the extra holiday charge. I agree, what holiday in June?
I also really enjoyed Liberty tree. Great character meal, for a not so bad price.
