Help with restaurants!!
We are going to WDW June 22- July 1st. We want to try the dining plan this trip but are all pretty picky eaters!! We are not too adventurous with food, so the more Americanized the better for us. LTT looks pretty safe as does the 50's Prime Time. Can anyone recommend some other fairly plain places to eat? Can they usually make things without some of the spices and sauces? Thanks!!

Re: Help with restaurants!!
'Ohana seems safe to me, lots of grilled meat and some yummy sides.
Plaza Restaurant (not a good use of a sit down credit on the dining plan) Le Cellier--great steaks Chef Mickey's--a buffet so most can find something to eat ESPN Club at BW--good sports bar type food Hoop Dee Doo (2 dining credits) great show and good comfort food Look over the menus and see what your family will like, what's good for one family may not be waht another family likes. Restaurant Dining Menus from Walt Disney World My DMIL is the queen of picky and bland foods and likes all of the above.

Re: Help with restaurants!!
The Sc-iFi Dine-in has good 'Americanized' food at MGM (Hollywood Studios). Interesting atmosphere and entertainment.
Good Luck

Re: Help with restaurants!!
We think the buffets are best for picky eaters because that way everyone can find something they like. Chef Mickeys is great. Hollywood & Vine at Studios also has a good selection.

Re: Help with restaurants!!
Maybe try Crystal Palace? They have quite a bit to choose from.

I like plain food myself. I am totally a picky eater as is my DD. Here's the places we normally pick.
Crystal palace for breakfast donald's at the AK for breakfast chef mickey's for breakfast or dinner (I don't go here anymore, but my DD loves it) LeCellier whispering canyon O'hanna for breakfast or dinner cinderella's royal table for breakfast 1900 park fare for either breakfast or dinner momma melrose biergarten rainforest cafe at the AK (not on dining plan though)

Re: Help with restaurants!!
mommyof2, I have to say that while each restaurant has a theme, even the most adventurous restaurants have options for picky eaters! BUT -- that said, you might want to save a few restaurants for another trip... like Boma, Jiko and Marrakesh.
Go to this site -- Deb's Unofficial Walt Disney World Vacation Information Guide - WDW Planning Guide - Walt Disney World -- and check out all the menus. You will be able to tell which have a wide appeal for your family! Good luck!
