New "bar" at Animal Kingdom

While not widely reported, with opening of Yak and Yeti, besides the little 4 or 5 seat bar inside the restaraunt there is an outside "bar" Off to the right of the Counter service portion there is a courtyard seating area. There is window service bar here. I don't think it is a full bar, but it does have several different kinds of beer, several different varieties of wine, and a margarita listed on the menu. I think this will be a fine addition to Animal Kingdom.

I remember seeing that but didn't pay much attention to it. I wanted to get into that big take out container, heheh

The whole set up of that courtyard is really nice, I think. The bar will be a welcome addition for many

Thanks for the info gatour.

Can you order food here (and avoid the line inside)?

Re: New "bar" at Animal Kingdom

chamonix, actually margaritas have always been part of Animal Kingdom. The Dawa bar in the Africa part has always served margaritas. For me pretty much every trip to the park includes a stop at the Dawa bar for a margarita on the rocks or two.

Cavey. I am not sure what you mean as "standing in line inside". The only line inside would be for the sit down portion. The counter service part is out side and I would consider this service window bar an adjunct to the counter service place. They definitely did not list the "entree" type things that the counter service had, but may have listed "chips".

Re: New "bar" at Animal Kingdom

thanks for the info, gatour! Shockingly, I have never stopped into the Dawa bar. I guess I was thinking that it would be nice to have a window service area kind of place to grab a quick 'rita as I passed on by.

I'm also glad you mentioned the "on the rocks" part, because I don't care for frozen margaritas. So, it sounds like Dawa bar is pretty much a full service bar? How about call liquors? Do they have good tequilas? I think I have a new tradition at AK.

Oops! I forgot this place had both types of service. Thanks.
