We got Chef Mickey's !!

For the past week I had been calling every afternoon hoping that we would get lucky and get a reservation for Chef Mickey's dinner buffet for March 29th. No luck. So we went ahead and made reservations for the Concourse Steakhouse.

Thursday I was driving home and my cell phone rings. I didnt recognize the number but for some reason I answered it anyway. It was Terrisue at Magical Journeys. She had booked our upcoming 4 night stay at POFQ/AKL. She said she got lucky and was able to get us a table at Chef Mickey's dinner buffet, March 29th, at 5:15pm. Not only did she get us a table but she got us a great time frame!! We will have two 6 yr old boys (my son and his best friend) so we didnt want to eat dinner late. Anyway, I have to say, Terrisue at Magical Journey is awesome!

So now we have two reservations...one of which I am going to cancel today. We have Concourse Steakhouse at 5:40pm or Chef Mickey's at 5:15pm. So if possible, I would love to hear about your experiences at Chef Mickey's for dinner? Is it fun for the kids? How good is the food? Worth the price for the experience or are we better off at the steakhouse???

I would definitely keep Chef Mickey's. Especially with boys that age. You guys will have a ball. :)

We enjoyed Chef Mickey's for dinner last year. It was a lot of fun. The boys will love it!

Never had dinner there . . . but we like it for breakfast! Great for the kids! They do a little dance party every half an hour or so and the kids wave their napkins in the air . . . it's fun!

At breakfast they have an area just for kids with fun things like PB&J pizza . . . I'm sure someone on here can tell you they if they do the same for dinner!

You'll have fun . . . plus when the monorail comes through the boys will get a kick outta that!!

I may be wrong but isn't this a birthday dinner? Or did I make that up?
Anyways, keep Chef Mickeys! I've heard Concourse is very good but I think the little guys will enjoy a lot more therefore making you a lot happier! I've never done dinner but I've done breakfast three times and loved it! I've heard their mashed potatoes are amazing.

It is a late birthday celebration. My friend's son (my ds's best friend) turned 6 yrs old on Good Friday. So as part of his gift they have incorporated a disney trip. We are going to mention it at the restaurant so maybe they will sing to him.

Congratulations! You will enjoy it. I have only been to breakfast at CM, but the character interaction has always been great. The last time I was there Goofy was...well goofy and it was great!
