Val, what's not true? I didn't say the luau stinks. I only said that the majority of posters commenting on the luau were disappointed. I didn't say I thought it stinks. I said I've never been there and probably won't.
But it is true that there have been many many more negative comments than positive comments over the years.

You said that the plan works EXCEPT for the Luau. Maybe Iam not understanding where you are going with that.

How can you make a biased opinion and give advice to someone if you never been there?
Hear say smear say.... There are plenty of people out there that have enjoyed the Luau, you just dont all hear about it.
I dont care how many negative comments there are out there about something, If I want to try something and someone didn't like Iam not going to change my plans based on someone ELSE's opinion. That's not fair.
That's like saying if someone told you to jump off a bridge because it was fun, would you do it???

He didn't say don't go, it was more of a warning that a lot of people have posted here that the luau wasn't what they had hoped it would be. It's two credits and those credits might be put to better use at a different restaurant. I love the Hoop Dee Doo but wouldn't use two credits there just ot be put in the back or second level.

True but if he has never been there, why discourage someone from doing it???? Why give a "warning"? That's all that Iam saying....

I think if there's ANY restaurant you want to go to then make an ADR just to be safe. The character meals book up, even breakfast. Where are you thinking about going for breakfast?

I wasn't talking about the DDP, I was talking about jwakja's plan.
Of course the luau is part of the dining plan, it's a two credit meal.

As for the vast number of our fellow posters who have said really bad things about the luau, and believe me, there are plenty, not quite as bad as Nine Dragons, but plenty, there has to be some sort of pattern that it isn't that good or that consistent.
If I'd wanted to, I could have outright lied and said we'd done it three times and each time was worse than the next, but to what purpose?
But I felt it was fair and expected when new posters ask for advice, they be made aware of everything, not just the glowing reviews.

Ya see, Iam a different type of person and just can't do that. If I haven't been somewhere or done something, I just won't comment and give my 2cents about the matter in question!

The Luau isn't for everyone just like the Hoop Dee Doo isn't for me! I dont care how many people LOVE the HDD, I just dont have any interest in booking it! And that's what I think it comes down to when ppl give their reviews on something. Or they hit it on it's "off" day. Each restaurant at WDW has them, I tried Momma's and musta tried them on their "off" day and I hated it! Will never go back (well i will never say never), service was horrible, everything went wrong, etc..

There are ppl out there that do love the Luau just as me. And in fact one person that was looking to try the Luau, I got a PM about a week ago asking for more info on it, they didnt want to make a public post and get jumped all over with negative reviews and this is why Iam responding the way Iam!

That's it! No more... Let's move on............
