Breakfast on the go?
So we are staying at the Beach Club this trip and it is our first trip in a long time staying at a resort without a full fledged food court. Our usual WDW touring style is to eat a large-ish breakfast in the resort food court (usually the breakfast platter or french toast or something), then head to the bus stop and go to the park for the day and have an early sitdown dinner there. This always worked really well on the DDP too.
This trip we are staying at the Beach Club and though I know they have the Marketplace there, the pictures I have seen of those breakfast sandwiches are frankly, not that appetizing. Basically, I am wondering where people grab their breakfast when they are staying in non-food court resorts, particularly in the Epcot resort area. Thanks!

Re: Breakfast on the go?
In Epcot, we used to stop at the Fountainview all the time.
We tried the food court inside the Land pavillion (Sunshine something) on our last trip, and it was wonderful!! I would highly recommend it. :)

Re: Breakfast on the go?
Spoodles on the Boardwalk has a sit-down breakfast.
I also agree that Sunshine Seasons has a wonderful breakfast selection. And Cape May has a character breakfast. Not sure about The Yacht Club, but I'm sure you could find a sit-down breakfast there too. (Just checked that out on All-Ears - The Captain's Grill has a large breakfast menu).

Re: Breakfast on the go?
That is a tough thing to do when staying at one of the deluxes.
When we stayed at the BC, we did a grocery stop on the way and stocked up on some quick breakfast foods. I think your best bet would be Spoodles across the lake.

Re: Breakfast on the go?
Spoodles is great for breakfast - and seldom busy in the AM.
The breakfast sandwiches in the Marketplace are good. They also have a great selection of baked goods as well. There is the Bakery on the Boardwalk - always a favorite.

Re: Breakfast on the go?
Breakfast starts at the Biergarten.
The Breakfast of champions. Properly planned you can end up with a nice lunch at the Rose and Crown as you make your way back to your room.

Well, we usually stock up the in-room fridge with breakfast items; yogurt, fruit, OJ, milk, cereal, bagels/cream cheese, etc. and eat before we even leave in the morning. All of the DVC resorts have a little grocery where these items can be bought. If you are up for a little walk there is also the Boardwalk Bakery across the way.
OH, I forgot to ask... are you staying in the villas or the regular resort area? If you happen to be staying in a DVC accomodation there are toasters & microwaves along with the fridges to help prep breakfast in the room.

Re: Breakfast on the go?
Take some travel size cereals with you, great to eat in the room or on the way into the parks for the day, breakfast bars and fruit are another good choice if you can store them!

Re: Breakfast on the go?
There is always the Bakery on the Boardwalk. That's a great grab and go place for breakfast.

Re: Breakfast on the go?
Dining at the Yacht/Beach is tilted towards sit downs.
Beach has Cape May for breakfast and dinner buffets. Yacht has Captain's Grille (renamed from Yacht Club Galley) for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There is also Beaches and Cream for table service burgers and such. Beach Club's gift store now has a counter service area for snacks and sandwiches, that's probably your closest to breakfast on the go as you'll get. Any Boardwalk options are a nice little walk to the other side of Crescent Lake, and they aren't much better than Yacht/Beach for breakfast on the go. Might as well hit Epcot and go to Sunshine Seasons in The Land. Half of the time we've stayed in the Yacht/Beach/Boardwalk we've been concierge, so the concierge lounge continental breakfast offerings often serve as our breakfast on the go. Also, we usually sit down for breakfast unless we're doing some sort of early tour or EMH.

Nope...wasn't my turn! I had that detail all last week. I do believe in honor of the return of Pumouse, we gave her that responsibility. Can't seem to find her though...she must have turned sideways and we can't see her because she's so skinny now. ![]()
