Afternoon Tea at GF
My sister and I will be visiting WDW in October and want to try the Afternoon Tea at the GF. Has anyone been there lately and can give me an update on the menu and prices? Allears has a menu from 2006.
Thanks |

I'm so glad you posted this. I've always wanted to try it. Allears has the following in their rate and review section, which has some recent posts. I think it's the same thing you're referring to: AllEars.net Review Page - Garden View Lounge Tea - Powered by ReviewPost

Re: Afternoon Tea at GF
I hope you get to do this. I have always wanted to do it too but my people are all men and they want nothing to do with this.
It's an English Tea, the menu would not change much. I think you can safely go by the 2006 menu on allearsnet.

Re: Afternoon Tea at GF
Not sure of current prices, but my mom and I did this in January 2007. Wasn't outrageously priced and we had a lot of fun.

Thank you for the information. We have ressies and are looking forward to trying it. My sister and I go in October every year and try to do something different. This year it will be the tea. I will post my review when I return.

Re: Afternoon Tea at GF
I did it a couple of years ago with my mother in law. It was wonderful, a peaceful, graceful break in the chaos. "Lovely" would be the best word. Really enjoyed it and look forward to the time I can do it again. May even encourage my DH, a devoted tea drinker, to give it a try on our next trip.

Re: Afternoon Tea at GF
Always wanted to try it, but couldn't ever give up that park time! LOL...
But I would love it if you'd take a ton of photos so we can sort-of be there with you and see what it's all about!

Re: Afternoon Tea at GF
We are going to do the Tea on the day we arrive. We should be really hunger by that time and can enjoy more of the scones and sandwiches.
I have to warn you I am not the best picture taker. Hopefully the food will be able to speak for itself and my lack of skills will not hurt the way the food looks. |

Re: Afternoon Tea at GF
LOL! Well, it is VERY expensive at the GF compared with making stuff at home! (We didn't, we just had bologna sandwiches.) But you can get scones at Publix and also clotted cream, lemon curd and so on there. And, of course, tea.
