have 2 ADR's, which to choose

I originally tried to get a reservation for Yak n Yeti for Wed, Sept 24 and they were booked. (Wednesday is EMH - evening for AK)

So I was able to get Boma for 4:50 - only time available.

I just called and was able to get a Yak n Yeti for 3:00. I was thinking this would make better time usage of AK park, I would be in the restaurant when it is the hot of the afternoon, but can't find a lunch menu for them.

Is the menu the same?

Which is the better place to eat?

Re: have 2 ADR's, which to choose

We had dinner at Yak & Yeti in February and were - well - under-whelmed.

The food was "ok". Nothing more. I'd definitely go with Boma.

Yak and Yeti - Animal Kingdom

The menu is the same. I have not been there but have heard good things.

To maximize park time I would keep Yak and Yeti but if you want check out AKL then I would go to Boma.

I had the same dilema and decided to go to Boma on AK day b/c I want to see the resort.

Re: have 2 ADR's, which to choose

I think Boma is the better place to eat, but it would take considerable time out of your day to go over there. On the other hand, it's evening EMH, like you said, so go back

Personally I would make the trip to Boma.

I've not tried Boma or Yak & Yetti, but I have heard terrific reviews about Boma.. not quite as good about Y&Y.

We have not done the EMH evening at Ak before. The only answer I can find is it can be open "up to 3 hrs" past non resort guest closing.

We went to yak and yeti for the second time on this last trip. We really liked it. We actually walked right up without a ressie and got right in.

Re: have 2 ADR's, which to choose

Lunch menu at Y&Y is the same as dinner. We liked our meal there and were actually seated ahead of our reservation time.
Evening EMH is always 3 hours after posted closing time.
We've done breakfast at Boma plenty of times, not dinner, but I can't imagine it not being at least the equal of breakfast.
Plus and minus for breaking away from AK to AKL.
Because there's an evening EMH, you'll be able to hop the bus back and forth from AK to AKL and not worry about having to change buses through DTD to get back to your hotel. Yet, you are still going to lose a good 40 minutes for travel time, so I'd stay in the park.

Re: have 2 ADR's, which to choose

Boma is wonderful. And the 4:30 time is great, because you will eat a lot more than you think, and to have the whole evening to work it off is a great thing!

Re: have 2 ADR's, which to choose

I think for right now anyways, I will keep both. I like the idea of seeing AKL, but I've heard Wed is rib night, but if AK is open till 5 - EMH would make it 8, buy the time I eat at 4:50, wouldn't be much time to make it back over.

But...... if I eat at the 3 at Yak and Yeti, I'll miss the parade.....

Re: have 2 ADR's, which to choose

I am not even remotely impressed with Y&Y menu. I am doing Boma at 4:40 and heading over to AK afterward for their evening EMH.

I was wondering if you were interested in the parade. Thats the only thing that kept me from answering. I love the parade at AK. I would hate to miss it.
