Grand Floridian Cafe
I remember hearing that people really liked the Grand Floridian Cafe for lunch. What is the restaurant like? Does it have a view of outside? How does the decor compare to 1900 Park Fare?
I am considering it for Thanksgiving. I know my Mom would like to go to the Grand Flo, but they don't like buffets so 1900 Park Fare is out. I also don't want to use up 2 table service credits so Narcoosees and Citricos is out.

Re: Grand Floridian Cafe
We actually really liked the decor. It was very understated, and pretty. The food was good, not great, but service was very good. I can't remember much else about it right now.

Re: Grand Floridian Cafe
It was very pretty! We went there for lunch on a very busy MK park day and I remember how peaceful it was in there! I want to say for some reason the chairs were especially comfy..and there is a lot of beige and creams..it's very homey. And I still have dreams about that sandwich layered with cheese. I dont know if it looks like Park Fare but I'll go look and some pictures and see.

Re: Grand Floridian Cafe
This is starting to sound like a good Thanksgiving Day idea. I would like a less formal place, but more formal than Whispering Canyon (I considered this).
I need to go to a non-park restaurant, so I've been having a hard time figuring out where to go. Bella, if you have pics I would love to see them!

Re: Grand Floridian Cafe
I agree with Bella that it is very peaceful in there. We really enjoyed our dinner and are planning to go back this year.
I had the prime rib and my DD had chicken soup that she really enjoyed. I can't remember what my DH had. I think it would be a nice place for Thanksgiving.
