Re: Narcoossee's
I can't tell you how many times we've eaten there.
I was even trying to get in there for New Year's Eve dinner this past December ( I couldn't, but I'll not have that problem again this year.) Food and service is excellent and they're less snooty than many of the CMs at California Grill.

Re: Narcoossee's
We are definitely going to give Narcoossee's a try this next trip. I can't wait to hear some reviews too. Anything special recommendations on what to order would be great too!

California Grill? I'd go back to California Grill much faster than I'll ever make my first visit to the Luau. I've eaten at California Grill 5 times, including just last month, and believe me, it is worth returning to. Try the key lime creme brulee and the seafood chowder at Narcoossee's. All of the entrees I've had there have been excellent.

Our favorite restaurant. Try to book close to 8:00, then by the time dessert comes around, you can view Wishes with piped in music.

Jiko has an on stage kitchen and guests can be seated at the counter. Watching the kitchens at Flying Fish, Spoodles, and CG are all interesting and so is Jiko.

Re: Narcoossee's
We eaten at Narcoossee's the past 2 summers. Had the same CM waitress. Very, very nice, and very attentive. She was great. Food was great in '2006 but everyone (all adults) noticed a dramatic drop off in quality and portion size this past summer (2007). My adult son and I ordered the same thing both years and we kinda looked at each other after the meal. Personally, I won't go back for awhile. Too many other great places.
We too love California Grill. Only problem there is that the seater CM's will try to seat you on the side opposite the kitchen. IMHO, it's like you're not even there. The kitchen is part of the experience. When they hand direct us to "that" side, I will just tell them we'd like to sit on the other side. We always eat very early, and the place isn't full. It's not like it's 830 and we're doing this. We're always one of the first in the restaurant that evening. "Somehow" they always find us a table on the kitchen side <g>. Frank |

Yeah but... most people prefer to have the panoramic view of the MK and not watch the kitchen. Or so logic dictates. One time we were seated at Yoshi's sushi bar, partly because those seats were open right then. And I think they're cutting back on portions everywhere. I know that most menus got trimmed down at the end of 2004 in advance of the Magic Your Way vacation packages as far as the sheer number of different dishes each restaurant served. That's also when lobster disappeared from almost everywhere in the world.

Not only did we have a view of the kitchen, but MK and the Dolphin too. I loved the view. >>And I think they're cutting back on portions everywhere.
