Mexico Epcot

Read awhile ago that the interior of Mexico was going to change from an "outdoor" market to a tequila bar. Seriously! I don't see any more info on that. Is that going to happen???

Hrm. I don't remember that. It doesn't seem like that would happen considering there is the Cantina de San Angel right outside and they have the Margarita Stand now at the end just before Norway. Maybe it was the Margarita Stand that was just added? When I was there over the weekend it seemed like it was fairly new.

Yes it was rumored that some type of tequila bar was going to be put in place somewhere inside. I imagine that one of the shops on the side was where this was to take place. I am quessing the idea is that it would be similiar to the sake bar at the back of the Japanese pavillion.

From my understanding there are differences between tequilas.

Nothing has come of this so far.

BTW: The margaritta stand close to Norway has been there for several years now. I think it popped up during one of the Food and Wine festivals and became permanament.

Don't know what ever became of the tequila bar, but we finally did el Rio del Tiempo and I can tell you that as of April, the restaurant was still a "marketplace".

As of May 21, the inside has not changed, but I did read the same thing.

I would love to see a tequila bar and yes there is a large difference between Tequilla's. Myself i'm a Petron person

I have heard this as well..but wasn't it going to just take over one of the little booths inside..not the whole market? That's the impression that I got.
