Yesterday was the 180 day mark. I was able to make my ADRs for my Thanksgiving trip. It's annoying not knowing park hours or anything , but I guess in the end it doesn't really matter much anyway. We are a park hopping family, and for the most part we won't start the day where we end it so it REALLY doesn't matter. We usually try to take advantage of EMH in the morning...I've never done nighttime EMH!

I researched last years hours and noticed that MK was open until midnight all of Thanksgiving week and 1am on Thanksgiving Day and all Thanksgiving weekend! Epcot was open until 9 or 9:30, HS was open until 8 and AK was open until 8. Using this as a guide, here are my plans...I got everything I wanted, at pretty much the times I wanted them:

Thursday night 11/20 - Leave the house for the LONG Drive down I 95! (the kids still don't have a clue we are going anywhere!)

Friday 11/21 - arrive in Orlando...stay at Sheraton Vistana Resort (timeshare) off site
NO DINING PLANS YET

Saturday 11/22 - stay at Sheraton Vistana Resort (timeshare) off site
NO DINING PLANS YET

Sunday 11/23 - wake up and check out of Vistana...move to Animal Kingdom Villas in a Savannah View Room...YAY!
Dinner at Maya Grill - -6pm

Monday 11/24 - Dinner at Les Chefs de France (new one for us!) - 5:20pm

Tuesday 11/25 - Dinner at Le Cellier - my favorite! - 7:50pm

Wednesday 11/26 - Dinner at Boma - Yummy RIBS! - 5:25pm

Thursday 11/27 THANKSGIVING DINNER! - 'Ohana - 5pm

Friday 11/28 - Check out of AKV and into Sheraton Vistana Villages

Saturday 11/29 - Check out of Vistana Villages and start our LONG drive home!

Since I have no clue where we will be starting our days yet (DARN THOSE HOURS! ), I have no idea what CS meals we will eat. We will most likely use our CS meals for lunch. For breakfast, we will grab something quick using Snack Credits or I will buy bagels and cream cheese to keep in the room.

I was also tossing the idea around about NOT eating dinner on site for Thanksgiving and just going somewhere off site (since almost EVERY restaurant will be offering Turkey anyway!), so we can save our TS credit for Friday night. Any thoughts on that idea??

YES, we will be eating dinner 2 days in a row in Epcot. That doesn't matter to us, we love Epcot and like I said before, we don't mind hopping to Epcot even if it's just for a meal! Since MK is open late ALL week, after dinner we can always end up there every night if we wanted to, regardless.

So...any thoughts/suggestions/comments???

I think it sounds great! I loved going during that week last year, I think you are going to have a marvelous time!

They sound great, Kim! I guess if you want an "authentic" Thanksgiving dinner I would eat off-site. Is the menu at Ohana the usual, or do they change it for the holiday?

I think it's changed...but with a Polynesian flare. Not sure what that means, but I have heard good reviews.

Then I would just keep it! I don't even like turkey. I just eat all of the fattening side dishes on Thanksgiving so I wouldn't miss it. I think that is why I hate Liberty Tree.

Thanks, Jess! Your trip report from last year totally inspired me! We were all set to go during FREE DINING this year again. But after reading your TR last year, it made me realize just how much I missed it during the holidays. And I realized that I NEEDED to plan a trip during all of the holiday festivities. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!

HAHAHAHA!!!! ME TOO!!!!!!! I can't stand the big turkey on Thanksgiving...I just eat everything else! I do eat Turkey Cold Cuts, but as for the big bird...I can TOTALLY do without it! LTT wasn't even an option. I ate there once and though it was good, I wastn't in love with it since I am not a Turkey Dinner fan!

Cheryl, you are one of the reasons why I went and tried the ribs! And I loved them! Eugene even loved that WHOLE meal, which is amazing in itself...he doesn't love ANYTHING!

We're trying Chefs de France for the 1st time too! It was my Mom's only request. I booked it for the night after Thanksgiving hoping that will be a Candlelight Processional night. I couldn't decide b/w Chefs or Teppan Edo. I did book Chefs though, hope it's good!

I think your plans are perfect. Your meals will fit into just about any park schedule so you plans will be in tact no matter what WDW throws at you when the hours are finally released...I still can't believe they aren't..that's nuts.

Your ADRs sound great. I think eating off site for Thanksgiving is a great idea. #1 Anywhere in WDW will be packed for Thanksgiving dinner. #2 I would rather use the TS on something other than turkey so I think using it on Friday is a good idea.
