Re: marrakesh///epcot

We've had some wonderful meals there - nothing bad to report. The service was the best we've had at WDW.

The kids actually look forward to eating here - but our kids are not the chicken nugget type - they prefer to eat off the adult menu.

Re: marrakesh///epcot

We tried it (compliments of the chef) over Spring Break and then our whole group ate there just last week and we loved it. The lamb is SO good, so are the beef ka-bobs...I wasn't thrilled over the chicken when we were there in March...it was kinda dry. But everything else was wonderful! There was just one belly dancer, but she put on a good show. My kids are 14 yo and have always been good eaters, willing to try new things and they loved this place. We really didn't have any complaints from the group (of 15) except that the couscouse didn't really have alot of taste. Some of the kids ate from the kids menu, others from the adult menu and we all left happy and full!!

I felt that way for years. My wife is Syrian/Lebanese and she was being a bit grumpy, so, I figured it might be a good way to show her I am not a complete insensitive bonehead by taking her there. She was surprised that I was open to it, considering how many other good places are in the WS. I had the Seafood Bastilla appetizer with some iced tea. They used honey or something like that in the tea and it was awesome. The seafood bastilla was even better. I then had the lamb mashoui which was fork tender. Then the crepes atlas since I was there. The kids danced with the belly dancer and ate their pizza. I was so happy with that place that we have gone back a couple of times since.

Re: marrakesh///epcot

We have been on both our previous family trips, and the looks on my children's faces were worth the price of dinner! My DD, who was 8 the first time and 9 the second actually got out of her seat to get a better view of the belly dancer. She was just enthralled. My son just loves couscous! My husband smiles the whole time we are there.

That said, the food ranges from excellent to good, with the beef and lamb being the best, the chicken the worst. The service is excellent and I believe the kids were allowed to order from the adult menu on the Dining Plan (or else there was a chicken and couscous dinner on the kids menu...)

We love it!

I have eaten at Disney. It wasn't just me. Everyone at our table thought it was terrible. My dh is Middle Eastern so......we were expecting something really good instead. I had to send my Kabob back twice. My db chicken was undercooked pink inside. Just the taste of the food was terrible. The rice they served with the Kabob had no taste. The only thing that was good is the bread. I definitely would never eat here again. There are so many other wonderful places to choose. We at there Feb 2008.
I was SO upset about it, but I have to agree with you. We LOVE LOVE LOVE that type of food, so we thought it was going to be perfect! EVERYTHING was just awful. And DRY. I was REALLY upset, because I wanted to LOVE it. Our waiter was AWFUL...we never even got drink refills. The belly dancer was fun, though.

Re: marrakesh///epcot

Adding to the mixed reviews, we've had some fantastic meals at Marrakesh and some mediocre meals as well. Service has also been a mixed bag. Still, I think it's worth a shot.

I'm so glad I am not the only one. The service for us was fine. We also love this type of food. I guess living near Dearborn, Mi for most of my life.....it has spoiled me. We were used to seeing the Belly Dancer since most family parties have one on dh's side. We had a belly dancer at our rehearsal dinner. I was not pleased. My family loved it though.
