Icon14 Breakfast PANIC

AS time-to-go is getting closer I am getting more in a panic. We will be in WDW staying at the Grand Floridian July 14-21. 1900 Park Fare is the Buffet Breakfast restaurant we are interested in. Do we need ADR's every morning? If we just get up and stumble down for breakfast, how long of a wait can we expect? When is the best time to be in line to be seated?

Gee, seeing as I have only been there like twice, ever, I can't say. That's quite a vacation: you're very lucky!

You could try calling the resort if you don't get a definitive answer here.

Re: Breakfast PANIC

If it's something you really want to do then I would book an ADR just to be sure we can get in. If your plans change you can always cancel and try to book it another time during your trip.

I would get an ADR for each morning that you want to eat there. If you can't get one, just show up and see if you can be seated.

Re: Breakfast PANIC

I have not eaten there, but I was at GF one morning our last trip for a Tea Party. 1900 Park Fare did not look crowded to me. I was greatly surprised. I would however make an ADR for however many days you intend to eat. Keep in mind you can also grab food at the Grand FLoridian Cafe.

Re: Breakfast PANIC

If I were you, I would try to make ADR's. If you can't, I think the best thing to do would be to be at the restaurant the minute it opens to try for a seat. I am willing to bet you couldn't get in at peak times, say between 8am and 10:30.
Good luck!

Re: Breakfast PANIC

I agree I'd make ADR's. Nothing worse than having to wait for food when you're hungry or all you really want to do is get to the parks! Also, grabbing food at the Cafe is a great option, especially for breakfast. You might not feel like eating a huge breakfast everyday of your trip. Are you doing the DDP? If so, keep in mind that 1900 Park Fare is a table service credit. Good luck and have a wonderful trip! I'm sure you'll have a fab time no matter what you decide with this. :)

Re: Breakfast PANIC

We have always had breakfast at least a couple of times at Park fayre every trip and each time I have just made our reservation a few days before from POR and always got a ressie no problem.
If you know which days you want to eat there then I would make an ADR but we never have.

Re: Breakfast PANIC

I always make reservations. I don't like the thought of walking up and being told I'd have to wait 20 minutes or worse, there is nothing available. If I change my mind in the morning, I'll call the dining line and see what's available at the time I want and change plans accordingly. There are times you'll hav a better chance walking up, but those are either when they first open or in the last 20 minutes that they are still seating.

Re: Breakfast PANIC

I would go ahead and make the ADRs for each morning. It doesn't hurt and this way it's one less thing you have to worry about upon arrival. I've only eaten there for dinner and it always seems quite crowded.

Re: Breakfast PANIC

Thank you one and all. Consensus seems to be make ADR's. I do like the idea of calling to see if there are any cancellations. I will do that also since time is short until we are departing. Thanx again !!!!!!!!!!
