Character meal questions and opinions needed!
We are definitely doing Chef Mickey's during our visit. I would also like my three ds to get a chance to meet some other characters in a meal setting (hoping to not wait in the lines in the parks)
They have all three said "Princesses YUK! Girl Stuff!" and "NO Way Mom" to Alice in Wonderland or Mary Poppins, so that eliminated Cindy's and Norways character meals and things at GF. I guess that leaves Crystal Palace in the MK having different characters than Chef Mickey's. Which is the better meal, breakfast or lunch at the Crystal Palace? If the published hours are, say, 8 - 10:30, do they seat new diners at 10:30 or is it earlier than that and you have to be done eating by 10:30? Is there still plenty of food out at 10:30 or are things pretty picked over? If the park closes at 6:00pm do they still take PS for 6:00 and you ccan eat while others are leaving and then stroll out without the ccrowds? Can you see parades from the Crystal Palace? Thanks! |

We've done only lunch so far at Crystal Palace(twice). I can vouch for the food. It was great both times and the characters did a great job getting around to see everyone.
I believe they start the lunch seatings at 11:30, so that would lead me to believe you could still get a breakfast seating at 10:30.

We had a 10:20 am PS for breakfast at the CP. There was plenty of food and they kept making more.
Since we were one of the last seatings for breakfast, I felt we had several advatages. 1. No one was rushing us along to seat the next family. 2. As the crowd began to thin out, we had alot of one on one time with the characters. 3. Since we had breakfast at 10:20 we were not looking for lunch at noon and avoided all of the lunch rush (actually we had a PS at Cindy's that afternoon for 4:00 and it worked out perfectly). Enjoy!!! We had lunch at CP in March. Our seating was 11:45 and it was GREAT! The lunch food is really good with a cheaper price than dinner. They started seating lunch seatings at 11:30AM on the dot. SO with their last breakfast seating at 10:30 that gives you an hour to eat and enjoy the characters if you prefer breakfast.

I dont think or remember every having lunch at crystal palace ..but we have had a late breakfast there, and noticed that they will start setting up one side for lunch while others are still eating breakfast.. as for supper at crystal palace I dont remember seeing a parade from it but we have eaten there late enough that we saw the fireworks .. of course we were right by a window. other times we have finished supper in time to walk out and watch the fireworks from the porch.

oh I wanted to add that it is great to stroll slowly out of MK after supper. we like to be at the back of the park and do that .. but I have noticed they start to close off and herd you out ..but in front of the castle .. on the benches we have often stopped and sat there as the crowds went by
