Concourse Steakhouse vs Narcoossee's

Ok friends, I have a small problem. Which is better Concourse Steakhouse or Narcoossee's? We have a trip planned in December. I would love to go to both of these, but I don't know if it's going to happen. I would love to go to Narcoossee's for the excuse of seeing GF all decked out for Christmas. But, I would love to also check out the Contemporary, but just to scratch the itch more than anything. What's your take on these restaurants? Thanks. Mickey

Concourse is fine, but nothing special. The bread is great, and the food is pretty good, but just didn't knock my socks off.

Narcoossee's is fantastic, and one of the nicest restaurants on property. The nice thing about the Contemporary is that you can just sit on the monorail and see a lot of the resort. You really have to go inside the GF to see everything.

Mickey is right. Concourse is nothing special, but Narcoosee's is a very nice restaurant with very good food. I think it often gets overlooked by guests because of its somewhat out-of-the-way location in a separate building about a 4-or-5-minute walk from the main Grand Floridian building. Definitley try it -- you won't be sorry.

Narcoosee's menu has always appealed to me, but I've avoided it just because I haven't heard much about it (note: no reviews in ReviewCentral).

What's the atmosphere like inside? We're comfortable taking the kids to Artist Point...would we be comfortable here?

Thanks!

Bruce

You won't have any problems with kids at Narcoosee's, brumcg. It's a fairly large dining room with lots of large booths that can easily accommodate families. Plenty of families eat there, and the atmosphere isn't at all stuffy. There's a display kitchen to your left as you walk in, and it's fun to watch the chefs in action.

Parkhopper,

Great description. I think this will definitely go on my 2004 PS list...

Narcoosse's

I remember seeing one of the hotel staff driving guests, so if the four or five minute walk is too much, you could always ask about that...
I remember the night we walked the area was very empty - no one at the pools: we had that whole time to ourselves.
