cs that do not have kids meal

Say that your family ate at Casey's for lunch, and you have 2 adults, a 12 yr. old and a 3 yr. old. You are on the dining plan. You order 3 meals of a hot dog, fries, drink and cracker jacks. This you would all share. How do they know to charge you for a kids cs or an adult cs? You don't want to be missing a credit, but a 3 yr. old can't eat all that by themself either.

They charge each persons card...each member of your party has a key to the world. Each person;s credits are on there and they swipe the card to pay for the meal. In this case, since kids and adults are the same, just use your kids card and 2 adults, thus saving you an adult CS credit on YOUR card.

No problem!

Not sure that's the case...everyone's meal credits are all TOGETHER, on each KTTW card. For example, if I go to pay for 4 CS meals, I only have to swipe my KTTW card. It will take the 4 CS meals off of my ONE card.

I wonder how they will take the CS meals off from Casey's if they don't serve Kids Meals....they will probably have to enter it in the system manually.

Re: cs that do not have kids meal

When we were there in May, it was the first time we used the DP. We had the basic plan. We noticed on our receipt (at a CS), there was only 1 number for the CS that we had left, but on our receipt for TS, they were broken down (adult & child).
So in your case (at Caseys), they will just subtract 3 from the total left. We could never get a clear answer on this. Does this mean that my DS could have had an adult meal at each CS place?

Re: cs that do not have kids meal

Ok - I just read the post chottsy linked us too.
It explains it all better!

All CS are "pooled" on the receipt.
In my case, I have 2 adults and 1 child.
So on my "account" it says 2A1C (this lets the cashier know how many meals can be ordered).
I can order 2 meals (adult) 1 child meal, and they will subtract 3 from my CS tally. If I tried to order 3 adult meals, they would stop me because I have 2A1C in the system. If the CS doesn't offer child meals, they will let me order 3 adults meals, and take 3 from the tally.

If I wanted to get around the rule, I could order 2 adult meals (CS). They would subtract 2 from the tally. Then my DH could go and order an adult meal for my DS (instead of a childs meal), and they wouldn't stop him.

Ok - I just read through that whole thing I just wrote - and it is crazy talk - so just ignore me....sorry.

Re: cs that do not have kids meal

Since I'm a single Mom and go with just my DDs I know all the credits are on one card . . . but I guess that is the case for everyone?

I always start the order with, "I'm on the dining plan . . . what can I get for an adult and child!" They tell me I order . . . this is how I learned the two beverage rule for breakfast CS. You get a juice and second bev .. . like coffee or water.

Re: cs that do not have kids meal

With DDP the cs credits are not broken down into adult and child. Kids can have the same as the adults and do NOT have to order off the kids menu. So I would give them my key card and they would subtract 4 CS credits( 2 adults and 2 kids). Now at TS they do have to order off the kids menu and they are divided into adult and child!!

Yes, I totally forgot that CS meals are not separated by ADULT/CHILD! Crisis Averted!
