Ding Plan Question
Hi. We are DVC resort hopping this year and considering doing the dining plan.
My question is this. Since I have seperate reservation numbers, can I purchase the dining plan for part of my stay, say one reservation at SSR then when I move to AKV not have the dining plan? Also, I have a studio booked at SSR for one night then we move into a 2 BR at SSR. Can I book the Deluxe dining plan for the one night at the studio and then when I check into the 2 BR have the basic dining plan? Thanks for the help. Re: Ding Plan Question
They should be able to link the reservation numbers for you. We had a similar situation where we stayed 2 nights cash at a non-DVC resort & then stayed DVC for 7 nights. At first it was a bit of an annoyance when I tried to add the dining plan but they were able to link the reservation somehow and we ended up with the dining plan for the full 9 nights. Just call member services and explain the situation. It shouldn't be a problem.

This part I am not too sure about. Anytime I've called to add on the dining plan it had to be consistant with the full stay. The only way I can think of doing it would be to keep the two reservations seperate and book the deluxe plan on one reservation and the basic on the other. Of course that way you'll have to pay for them seperately, etc. but just call and see what advice they give you. ![]()

Re: Ding Plan Question
I would call member services and ask them. As long as they are seperate reservations, I'm pretty sure they will let you book a different option for each reservation. I would call atleast two times for an answer (as you may get a different answer each time you ask). Keep in mind that you will need to use the dining credits before the current reservation runs out. So if you get the Deluxe plan, you will need to use all 3 credits by midnight of check out date.

Re: Ding Plan Question
I just called MS. The answer I received was that since they are seperate reservations I could book the ddp on one and not the other.
Also, since SSR studio & SSR 2BR are seperate reservations I could book the deluxe for the studio & the basic for the 2BR. We were considering booking the deluxe plan for the studio so that we would use 2 credits for the Hoop Dee Doo If we booked HDDR alone it would be about $220 for the 4 of us, while the deluxe plan would be $280. So for the extra $60 we would get an additional table service, 2 snacks each plus refillable mugs. This might work out well for us. Last edited by ranedrops; 07-31-2008 at 02:53 PM. |

Re: Ding Plan Question
Thats what we are doing we have a 9 night stay with AP discount but no dining plan and then a 15 night stay with the Dining Plan but no AP- being international visitors we dont want to be tied to WDW the first few nights as we like to do alot of shopping and other stuff around the area so the two reservations with different options was ideal for us.
