Re: Yak and Yeti

Welcome to Mousebuzz!

We tried Yak & Yeti last February. Asian Fusion food is our favourite, so we were really looking forward to it. The food wasn't horrible...I'd say it was "ok". Perhaps I ordered the wrong thing...I had a sticky chicken and it was over-cooked to toughness. My dh had the duck and he enjoyed that. I think I'd give it another try. But it wasn't as good as I was hoping it would be.

While I don't have a TS scheduled for this place, I'd like to try the CS part of it. I hear mixed reviews, though.

Re: Yak and Yeti

We went in March. We were on the dining plan, and we decided as we were walking by that we wanted to eat there. We walked up (this was at about 11:30) and we were able to get a seat. We ordered chicken (me), can't remember what the hubby got. I liked mine, but I am a picky eater as well as a cleanliness freak. The kids liked their meal, and we liked ours. It wasn't as "fast food" feeling as some other places. They were very accomodating to us, and the kids got to choose where to eat. We took the elevator to eat upstairs.

We also ate that day at Tusker house great. I would pick these 2 over rainforest cafe any day...

Just my 2 cents... We would go back again...

Re: Yak and Yeti

We ate there this past March. We were walking by and there was no wait so we went for it. We loved the wonton soup and the beef w/broccoli was yummy. We are going to WDW in November and plan on eating here again.

Re: Yak and Yeti

I really enjoyed eating there on my last visit! The way they have decorated the restaurant is really neat - so if you go, be sure to explore both levels. I ate there for lunch and had a very nice Oriental Chicken salad that was on the large size. I was by myself and got excellent service from the waitstaff. I would recommend it as a good sit down meal if you are over at Animal Kingdom. It is not 5 star - but it doesn't claim to be :)

Re: Yak and Yeti

We have eaten there once. We shared the Dim Sum basket and liked it. I had the duck and thought it was excellent. It was perfectly cooked, many places that are not fine dining have a tendency to over cook duck. That was not the case this time.

My wife had the tempura shrimp and I sampled it.It was okay.

Would we go again, most definitely, would we go out of our way (such as making a special trip to the AK) to eat there, no
