Opinions on the new MYW Plus Quick Service Dining Plan?
The Magic Your Way Package Plus Quick Service Dining offers you an easy and affordable way to experience a wide variety of participating Disney restaurants. The package includes everything in the 2008 Magic Your Way Base package -- Disney Resort accommodations, a Magic Your Way Base Ticket, etc., plus an arcade card valid for 30 minutes of game play at resort arcades (one per room) -- and a Quick Service Dining Plan that offers the following:
-- 2 Quick Service Meals per person per night: One Entree OR one complete Combo meal, dessert (lunch/dinner) or One juice (breakfast) & One single non-alcoholic beverage -- 2 Snacks per person per night: Choose from items such as frozen ice-cream novelty, box of popcorn, single piece of whole fruit, medium fountain soft drink -- One refillable drink mug per person The new Quick Service Dining Plan prices: Adults $29.99 per person per night; children 3-9 $8.99 per person per night ---------------- I think it seems like a decent plan for those who don't like to do sit-down meals.

Re: Opinions on the new MYW Plus Quick Service Dining Plan?
It's hard to say. I liked the savings with the "old" dining plan but I didn't like feeling tied down to all the meals. Last trip we did DDE and ate TS meals, 2/3 of our days. We even cancelled a meal or two and didn't feel like we were wasting money.
With the CS plan, you can eat where ever and when ever, but it seems like you are only saving a few dollars. So if you aren't a big dessert eaters, don't know if it's worth it. |

I was not that crazy about the CS meals in the parks. I think to utilize this plan best you will need to do a lot of research as to what CS is better then the other because there is a hudge difference between Wolfgang Puck Express and Cosmic Rays.

Re: Opinions on the new MYW Plus Quick Service Dining Plan?
Definitely not. To me, its not a good value at all. My favorite counter service meal is $5.79 (Casey's Corner hot dog & fries) plus $2 for a large bottled water. Another at Japan is $7 plus $2 for a soda. This totals $17. If I get dessert that would add another $5 for the day, but I really wouldn't want that at every meal. So you still have the popcorn/ice cream snacks and the mug, but for as much as we'd eat, I don't think you'd save any money at all.

Yeah, I don't really believe you are saving much money. I guess it's nice if you like your meals paid in advance. But for some people I think it would be good. I get so many complaints from guests that are on the regular DDP who feel just because they purchased the plan, they are obligated to sit-down each day for a meal. A lot of guests then come to the desk wanting to know about getting more CS meals instead of TS.

Is this true?! I have been out of the loop because this is the first I've heard of it. It's pretty neat though I am sure it will work for some people but I like sit down meals too much!

Re: Opinions on the new MYW Plus Quick Service Dining Plan?
I think it is a great addition for those who just can't afford the sit down restaurants.
Not being a fan of most CS anywhere, I have to admit that there are some decent CS restaurants all over The parks and resorts.

Re: Opinions on the new MYW Plus Quick Service Dining Plan?
I haven't come to a clear opinion but we have briefly talked about it. If we were traveling with younger kids or newbies to WDW that didn't want to slow down it might be a preferable plan. We want to run the numbers. If we went with the CS DDP we would likely consider paying out of pocket for a couple of nice TS meals so an estimate of final numbers would make the decision.

Re: Opinions on the new MYW Plus Quick Service Dining Plan?
I think that plan should be a bit cheaper for it to be worth it. But, i guess it just goes with being convenient- everything is already paid for. I have never done the DDP because I haven't found a need for it, but if I were to do it, I would do the $40 plan- for $10 more, it just makes more sense!

Re: Opinions on the new MYW Plus Quick Service Dining Plan?
Sit down meals are a big part of our vacation, since we never eat out otherwise, so we wouldn't go for something like this, unless maybe it was a very short trip.

Re: Opinions on the new MYW Plus Quick Service Dining Plan?
I think it is a good option. Sometimes we go on short trips and do not want to do TS Dinning. There are alot of good CS with a good variety of food. So you would not be stuck just eating hamburgers and hot dogs. Many of the resort food courts have a good variety of foods, as well as the CS in EPCOT.
If I was going for a week or so , I think I would get sick of CS and want some TS choices. So I think I might try it for a short trip, just to have everything paid up front, but I would not use it on longer trip. |

Re: Opinions on the new MYW Plus Quick Service Dining Plan?
I personally think it's a good plan. I can see me doing this plan next time and just planning a few character meals and paying OPP. We really only MUST do Crystal Palace. I think it's a nice alternative to the DDP and I think it's a great deal. You can more than your money's worth...the mug is $12 alone and we all know there is no way you are paying $13 for two counters and two snacks...it may rival the deal of the actual DDP to tell you the truth. You may get more bang for your buck with this one.
