Re: favorite counter service.....

in epcot definitly check out the Japan counter service, not only is the food to die for, but the amazing view was an added extra!

for table service try coral reef! once again, great food and atmosphere.

Re: favorite counter service.....

Love the Commisary at Studios... have the Cuban Sandwich. I dream of it!

At EC, we enjoy Cantina de San Angel, where you can eat a pile of Mexican food at a lovely table by the water.

At MK, we really like Pecos Bill's. I have no idea why, but we do. The condiment bar has yummy mushrooms to add toyour burger.

Looove the food courts at POR and SSR, so if you are into it, take a bus over there and chow down.

Re: favorite counter service.....

Pizzafari has an amazing Italian Sandwich -- my favorite CS meal on property! Its a nice variety on the menu too. I'd give it a try!

Epcot-- I also love Cantina de San Angel for CS or even San Angel Inn for TS. I also like the CS in Japan!

Re: favorite counter service.....

thanks everyone - we are set on what to do at MK and HS, as well as DTD (wolfgang puck express and possibly earl, but maybe WPE again).

AK - still leaning towards pizzafari - that italian sandwich is what caught my eye in the 1st place, and hearing several of you say how good it is just makes me want it all the more. I am interested in yak & yeti, but chinese can upset my stomach sometimes, so i am nervous.

Epcot - sunshine seasons is a definite, as well as tangerine cafe, still thinking about the others. gotta see what our friends think too. we have done cantina de san angel before, it was ok. not sure there is anything the kids would like at the german cs (at least the allears menu doesnt list kids meals, and i dont think they'd like brats/kraut). i'm thinking about the japan cs, but i am a japanese food snob, so i'm not sure about that one.

thanks again!!

Pizza planet is too cool. Its one of my favorites. You walk in and totally feel like you landed right in the middle of the toy story movie. If i remember correctly, the pizza and salads were really good too. Besides that, how could you not like a place that has skee-ball and an air hockey table. C'mon.

Re: favorite counter service.....

You could do Sunshine Seasons twice - they have a big enough selection - but I'd go to La Boulangerie in France - you can get a wonderful cheese and fruit plate with baguette, a sandwich made on a fresh croissant, a great dessert and a glass of wine. Or you could walk over to the Boardwalk and get pizza from the Spoodles Pizza Window - or a light lunch from the Bakery and sit on the Boardwalk to eat - through the day it's very quiet, so it gives yo a nice respite from the crowds.

Re: favorite counter service.....

Emamasa.... the Japan CS isn't bad at all (except the sushi, not that it's bad, it's just ordinary), but the rest is pretty tasty. Also, don't run away from China just because the TS place isn't very good. The Lotus Blossom CS is very good and very filling.

I forgot about the Lotus Blossom - the orange chicken there is delicious!

Re: favorite counter service.....

I think some of the best counter services in EPCOT are the counter service in Japan!! Soooo goood :D Cantina de San Angel. Also, the food at the quick service in the Land is pretty yummy! AND, I love that ride so much :]

Re: favorite counter service.....

My favorite counter service restaurants:

> AK
Yak & Yeti - Asian food with rice
Safari BBQ - Ribs, Baked Beans, Corn Bread - a favorite and a pretty good deal for the money

> DHS
ABC commissary - Indian food / Chicken Tiki Masala

> Epcot
China - Chinese food
France - pastries

> MK
Still don't have a favorite, but I"m getting some ideas from this thread.

Enjoy!

Re: favorite counter service.....

In Epcot, we have done the China CS and it was pretty good. I didn't think the American pavillion was bad either (even though it was standard burgers & hot dogs).
