Dining Plans Confusion

We've done the Dining Plan but I've heard of the Deluxe Plan and an option where you get a percentage off your meals. I'm very confused. Can anyone shed any light on this subject? Thanks.

Re: Dining Plans Confusion

The dining plan is the dining plan and then there's a special plan Tables in Wonderland which is for passholders/DVC owners, I think. They get 20% off the tab.

Tables in Wonderland, formerly the Disney Dining Experience, is open to Florida residents, passholders, and DVC members.
You do get 20% off your entire tab including alcoholic beverages, but they turn around and charge you an automatic 18% tip, regardless of your party size.
Part of the change in name was to end confusion between DDE and DDP (Disney Dining Plan).

I have a question...if I am a DVC member, do I also have to have an Annual Pass to get Tables in Wonderland??

Re: Dining Plans Confusion

You don't have to be both DVC and AP (although lots of people are both) to get the DDP (tables in wonderland). One or the other is fine-actually I think ANYONE can buy it, but you get a discount on the price if you are AP or DVC.

So if I'm reading this correctly, this doesn't apply to DVC members just FLA residents and passholders. Correct? Thanks for the info.

Yes, I made a mistake when saying DVC owners were allowed to participate.

This is for table service only? Is there anything like this that can be used for counter service?

The Tables in Wonderland card can be used at the value resorts (which have no sit down restaurants).

Re: Dining Plans Confusion

We have been using the (DDE) Tables in Wonderland card for a few years now and it it hard for me to justify using the regular DDP. I have worked the numbers and I think the TIW card is a better deal- especially if you make multiple trips a year.
