Narcoossee's??
Hey all!:)
My family of 3 (2 adults,1 child) is going wdw VERY soon-like in 11 days- and we cant wait. On our first night there, we want to eat someplace with a good atmosphere and great food. We've been considering Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian Resort but we've heard its pricey. Is going there really worth the time and money?? Thanks ![]()

Whether or not a restaurant is pricey depends on an indiviual's tastes and sensibilities. What's pricey for one person may be quite reasonable for another.
Narcoosee's is a very fine restaurant, one of the better ones at WDW. We've had excellent meals there many times. Here's a link to their menu: http://wdwig.com/menu/menu_nar.htm As much as I like Narcoosee's, you can get an even better meal and better view for about the same price at the California Grill on the top floor of the Contemporary Hotel. The overall experience is well worth the money. Here's a link to the CG menu: http://wdwig.com/menu/menu_cg.htm Both restaurants are wonderful, but I heartily recommend the California Grill.

Narcoossee's is our favorite restaurant at WDW. The atmosphere is nice but casual. The view is great. The service is OUTSTANDING. And the food is always superb (especially if you like seafood).
The servers really have fun with you. Once, I was having trouble deciding on a wine. The server brought out four bottles and let me have a taste of each before deciding. He was also VERY knowledgable about the food. We also got strawberries and champagne for our anniversary dinner! We took are then two year old DD there. It was nice for her too. She got to write all over the paper tableclothe with crayons. But it is a longer dinner; so be prepared if you go with kiddos. And she enjoys the character meals much more!!!! We always take the boat over to MK after dinner to catch fireworks/spectro. It makes for a fun night. I agree that the California Grill is just as good! Can't go wrong with either. If you go to the California Grill, make sure to order the souffle for dessert. And you have to order it before dinner because it takes awhile to prepare. If you do decide to go to Narcoossee's, try the Tira Misu for dessert. It is the ABSOULTE BEST I have ever had..... I'm sorry to go on about the desserts, but I am HUNGRY!!!!!! |
