Re: Need some help deciding
I tried the cheesecake the last time there and agree. But I'm a sucker for almonds and cherry anything.

Re: Need some help deciding
We are eating there on August 23rd. It looks like the wishes fireworks are at 10:00pm . This is late for my daughter. Im not sure about the water parade. I would say around 9:30 maybe? Not sure what to do. My current adr is for 6:00.

Re: Need some help deciding
Dave, if it were me (and you're not) I'd make my reservation for 8:30 and catch both the water parade at about 9 ish and Wishes at 10 and then head straight for the monorail so I could transfer to the POR bus at the MK. Or I'd just grab the launch, which is a lot closer than the monorail and boat back to the MK (stopping at the Poly first). In fact, the launch would be less walking on both ends than the monorail. Even an 8 PM reservation would work because even after you finish your meal, you can still watch Wishes from the deck around Narc's and also hear the soundtrack for the show.
Then again, if it were me, I'd eat at 6 or 7, skip the water parade and watch Wishes from Town Square and then high tail it out of the MK as soon as Wishes ends. But I'm the childless fireworks nut here, not you. But whatever you do, just keep in mind that there is no direct bus from one resort to another, so you'd have to transfer at a park or DTD no matter what.

Does Narc's have a show or anything? I"ve never been there. As far as being worth 2 credits, I feel if you enjoy yourself and the meal is excellent then it would be worth it.

If you look at the prices, you'll see why it, along with Jiko, Citrico's, Cali Grill, Flying Fish, and Yachtsman's are all 2 credits without having a show or presentation.

Re: Need some help deciding
The cheesecake is wonderful! We celebrated our anniversary there last year. The children’s menu is great, our DD still talks about her smores. It’s most definitely worth the 2 credits. Can't wait to go again.

Re: Need some help deciding
So are we! We'll be there for 5:30, couldn't get later for 7 people. We had an annivesary celebration for my in laws at "Narc's" last year. The staff and food were amazing and my boys are very excited about going back. I agree there are lots of great 1 credit restaurants but the Signature restarants are a little more relaxed, a little more extravagant, a cut above. Perfect for a date night but we can't seem to shake the boys. ![]()

Re: Need some help deciding
Once again, THANKS to all for your help. We have decided to stick with Narcoossee's for dinner. We are really looking forward to the food. We did change or reservations from 6:00 to 9:00. Now the parade at MK starts at 9:00 and I take it the fireworks are right after, so I hope we timed it right to see the water parade and wishes at dinner. Thanks again everone!

The water parade is really pretty low key and once it sets sail, it pretty much doesn't stop its circuit of Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake. I think generally the barges have the right of way over the resort launches and the big boats (as well as any boat out on a fireworks cruise) but I'm not 100% sure if the ferries get priority over the parade barges or not. Anyway, the parade sails out of the cut between MK and GF and sails past the GF and on to the Poly and then heads for Bay Lake. I can't recall if it doubles back past the GF or if it sails through the islands. I would get checked in at Narcoossee's at 8:45 and then watch Wishes from outside.

Re: Need some help deciding
What time is the official park close that night?
If it is 10 or 11 PM, then Wishes will be at 10, not 9. Also, if the park has EMH and closes at 10, it will be open until 1 AM for hotel guests, which will leave you about 2-2 and a half hours in the park after your meal (maybe even 3+ hours). Just remember, the parade is independent of any fireworks. Something to keep in mind is how far off axis you'll be viewing fireworks. This is a screen cap of Magic, Music, and Mayhem from the deck around Narcoossee's (Wishes will be similar). The castle is in the middle of the 10 streamers (castle fireworks) while the high stuff is shot from the back of the park. So even if you watch from the restaurant, I'd still strongly suggest you watch from inside the park another night. By the way, NEVER WATCH FIREWORKS FROM THE DUMBO AREA OR ANYWHERE ELSE BEHIND THE CASTLE!! You'll get a nasty case of whiplash trying to watch what are essentially two different shows at once.

Re: Need some help deciding
I was thinking about trying Narcoossee's for the first time in September. Do you need to be dressed up to go there or is it just casual environment? I am afraid to go there and be under dressed but I do not want to worry about having to go back to my resort first to change clothes.
