'Ohana's Character Breakfast
Well we've been going back and forth over where to go for a character breakfast (like there are no other problems in the world). Anyway, we started off going to MGM for the breakfast, but we are staying at the Poly, so why not eat there. But then I read it's served family style and the food is delivered to your table. So I need some info:
-Do they sit you with other people? Not to be rude, but I'd rather just sit with people I know first thing in the morning. I need 20 oz. of coffee to start the day off right, and then have meaningful conversation. -I read the food is served family style and delivered to the table. Do you they bring all of the food at one time? Do you get to choose what you would like and was the food good? Thanks for your help.:) |

'Ohana is our favorite character breakfast in WDW. They don't sit you with other people, so don't worry about that!
Yes, the food is served family style. They bring out a big ol' wok full of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes and Mickey Mouse waffles and plop it down in the middle of your table. If you want more of a certain thing, just ask your server. Also served is a really good pineapple pull-apart bread and fresh fruit. You can get anything to drink that you want too. :) We think the food is wonderful. Characters are Mickey, Goofy, Chip and Dale. Every 30 minutes or so, the characters lead a kid parade around the restaurant - my 4.5 y/o DD loves it! Our second favorite character breakfast is very early at the Hollywood & Vine in MGM. The earlier you go, the more character interaction and fresh, hot food. :) HTH! Niki |

Niki, welcome to Disneycentral! Thanks for the input on O'Hana. We have never been there, for the breakfast or any other meal. I have a hard time walking past the Kona Cafe. Maybe we will have to try it next time around.
One side note, everytime I have been to Kona Cafe, the O'Hana waiting area is right next door, and it is always packed! Even at 7:00 AM, there is usually a half an hour wait. Make sure you get a PS if you are going.

Thanks for the info.
The family voted, they want a character buffet not a family style meal. So I've made a PS for the character breakfast at the 1900 Park Fare at the GF. We ate there last time and it was very good. So we'll take a leisurely stroll from the Poly to the GF.:) |
