Places to eat in Epcot

I am looking for a good place to eat in Epcot. We have eaten at the Garden Grill and did not like it...It does not need to be sit down necessarily, but just somewhere with good choices, good food....We have two children, 4 and 8.

I really like Akershus in Norway. It is a buffet, and the food is wonderful. Marrakesh in Morocco is great as well. Le Cellier is my favorite in all of EPCOT. Great steaks and even better cheese soup.

As far as counter service, the one in Japan is quite good, as is the fish and chips counter in Great Britain (though the quality there fluctuates).

We ate at the Rose and Crown in England. Nothing fancy but we did enjoy the food. We had a seat on the patio overlooking the lake, and it kept my 2 dond, 3 & 6, entertained. They also enjoyed the food. The nice thing is that it was not too expensive by WDW standards.

I agree with Mickey, Le Cellier is one of the best! They have great steaks and the cheese soup is amazing! My 22 month old loved it! Oh, and the chocolate cake was TO DIE FOR!!! Yummm...

Another restaurant I would HIGHLY recommend is L'Originale Alfredo di Roma Ristorante in Italy. The atmosphere was amazing, the service outstanding and the food was totally authentic! I think it is ONE OF the best Italian restaurants we ever ate at...and I am from New York, and we have lots of great Italian restaurants here!!!!

I WOULD NOT miss these two!!!! HAVE FUN!!!!

We love Marrakesh in Morocco. It is a sit down restaurant and never seems crowded. It is tucked into the back of Morocco and if you don't look for it, you could miss it (maybe this is why it is never very crowded). We have never had PS and never had to wait for very long if at all. They also have a belly dancer for entertainment and the kids love to get out and dance with her. The food has always been very good, especially the cous-cous (a must!) I'm sure you're going to get so many great suggestions, you won't be able to choose. Yum!!

I believe one of the best values in EPCOT is the little resturant across from the Mexico palivion. It is a great place to grab some food, a cocktail, and watch the fireworks.

Enjoy,
-harry

The Counter Service place in Mexico is really good! I don't know if that is the place you are referring to, Grumpy Dad. If so, it's called CANTINA DE SAN ANGEL...something likethat! The prices are fairly reasonable and the food is good...we had Taco Salads in a Taco Shell bowl that are de-lish! And the margarita's in Mexico aren't bad, either!!!! :laugh

If you want many choices try "The Land" food court. They have many different things to choose from. It is often hard to find a seat if you go during a busy time of the day. Be sure to catch the "Food Rocks" show if you go, it is fun!

Kim,

The Cantina is the place. We usually get two combination plates and then split them between three of us. Then top off with beverage of choice and hit Beaches and Cream for a spot of dessert after the fireworks. Ah I can almost taste it all now.

I almost forgot about the food court in the land, that is the other spot we visit at least once while we are at WDW. Makes the Park Hopper worth it just to swing thru EPCOT in the evening.

I have to completely agree with LRTJS!!! :D The Land is the way to go!! I have to go there every trip just to get my "Mickeyroni & Cheese." :)
Seriously, there's lots of great choices and it's a lot cheaper than a sit-down meal. Plus, you can go straight into an attraction like "Food Rocks" after lunch if you feel like it! :laugh

for a snack, I recommend the little stand at france (but for the life of me, I can't remember the name) They have croissants, and quiche and all sorts of wonderful treats (even eclairs if the kids have been extra good ;) ) It's delicious and the prices weren't that bad

Hope that helps,
Yzma

Yes, it is called Cantina de San Angel, and yes, the food there is very good and reasonably priced. The portions are quite large, too. It's not a "destination" restaurant but is a great place for a quick lunch or dinner.

The Tangierine Cafe in Morocco is another great quick-bites place. The chicken wraps and schawarma sandwiches are delicious.
