PS time! - advice needed
Hi all!
As my 90 day mark fast approaches I need your help in finalizing my PS plans. I also have a few questions that are PS related. Here is my schedule so far: Sat night - arrive at MCO around 6. PS at Flying Fish Sun - PS at Donalds Breakfastourous Dinner at Teppanyaki *We would like to see Illuminations tonight. What time would you recommend making the PS for? Is there a good spot in or near Japan to view or will we need to finish early to get a good spot elsewhere? Mon - Lunch at Coral Reef Dinner ? *We are planning DisneyQuest for tonight. How is the counter service there? Should we make a PS somewhere in Downtown Disney? Tue - BF & Lunch counter service H&V Fantasmic Package Wed - BF at Crystal Palace Dinner at CRT *Assuming they are showing fireworks tonight - should we plan to be done eating by that time or is there a place in CRT where we can see them? Thurs - BF at Boatwrights Is there anything that I am missing / doing wrong? It's such a quick trip (we will be leaving for the cruise on Thursday morning) I don't want to spend too much time park or resort hopping. Any and all recommendations welcome! :) Thanks! |

Is this your first trip to WDW? Are you bringing kids along?
I noticed Sunday you are going to Animal Kingdom for Breakfast and then EPCOT for dinner. And then Monday you are doing lunch at EPCOT again. Do you plan on spending a full day at AK and then heading to EPCOT for a late dinner? I've eaten at the Teppanyaki Dining room (it's very good, by the way!) and I don't remember being able to see the lagoon (for Illuminations) from inside the restaurant. But if you plan on wraping up dinner by 8:30, you'll have a great view from in front of Japan! I haven't been to DisneyQuest, but there are some wonderful places to eat at Downtown Disney. Unfortunatley, most don't allow PS's. Have you checked the menu's out (including $'s) for all the restaurants you are going to? Here is a link to Deb's website so you can view each menu: http://www.wdwig.com/menu/menus.htm I'm sure others can answer your questions about Disney Quest and C.R.T. view of fireworks. We're glad to have you here at Disney Central!!

Thanks for the reply BDavis.
I've been to Disney 3 times before, but this is the first time as an "adult". And the first time I'm doing the planning :D It will be just me and my mom, no kids. Sunday - the plan is to do AK, and since that closes so early I figured we could hop over to the WS for dinner and Illuminations. Then Monday we will do FW and anything at WS that we may have missed on Sunday. Does this sound feasable? Thanks again! :) |

CRT and the fireworks. You can see the fireworks if you are seated at a window seat but not super well. If you don't have a window seat then you can barely see them. Nothing like being down on Main Street to view them. You will also miss Tinkerbell starting the show off if you are inside the castle and you miss the music to go along with them. It's great if you have seen the show before but if you are really wanting to get the full effect of the fireworks I would try and finish up dinner and be out on Main Street before they start.

Suggestion for the Flying Fish:
If you and your mom are game, you can sit at the counter of the display kitchen. It's like being on Emeril Live! The chefs are open to questions, and we've even received a sample tasting or two. It's not as cozy or comfortable, but it is fun and active.

Disney Quest was great but we couldn't get near the counter service they had there. (Cheesecake Factory, I think) It had computers and people were busy on them. I don't think you can get PS at DTD but there are plenty of places to eat and you can make a reservation. Most of them will give you one of those blinker things and you can come back when it is your time. We ate at Bongo's and Planet Hollywood. Bongo's was OK and so wat PH, but I love the atmosphere at both. If all else fails there is a McDonalds. :;)

You can get a PS at Planet Hollywood in DTD if it is for lunch.
