Non Character Breakfast

We are staying at the CSR and it will be just DH and I. Where would you recomend breakfast? or maybe a brunch? Should we go to the park and eat?

In July we had a wonderful breakfast at WL at the Whispering Canyon Cafe. I thought the food was very good at breakfast (just good at dinner). We had 4 adults (and 1 child who ate a few Cheerios) in our party and all 4 had the all you can eat skillet. There was so much food and it was really good. We had a 9:40 PS on our check in day. We arrived at 8 and checked in and decided to eat early and had no trouble getting in early. You can then take the wonderful boat ride to the MK and enjoy your day.

Here is the menu:

Non Character Breakfast

Its been 5 yrs since we were at CSR, so I'm not too current on what is there. My favoritest non-character spot is Kona Cafe in Polynesian. The food is good; the service is great; and the coffee is out of this world.:D :D :D :D

We enjoy breakfast at Fort Wilderness. It is a nice quiet place. The buffet is great. The CM's are friendly and efficient.

One of my best breakfast memories is from Spoodles at The BoardWalk. The restaurant is so comfortable and casual. They used to have the best coffee, served in huge colorful mugs. It was never very busy, always laid back, and the food is great. Plus, if you plan it right, you can walk into Epcot through the International Gateway..and be treated to a private walk through a deserted UK and Canada (before 11 am).

I want to second Spoodles, it was one of the best breakfasts we had on our last visit. We enjoyed it enough that it is in "the plan" for this trip :).

I highly recommend the breakfast at Boma in the Animal Kingdom Lodge. It is really good. Try the juice with different fruits(in other words, the non-OJ). It was delicious!!!!!!

For a nice lazy start, grab a large mug of coffee, some cookies or a danish, and go for a slow wander around the Lake at CSR. Take in the mini nature trail at the Ranchos area...very peaceful, with lots of birds and small critters just hanging out...carry on round to the Casitas side and admire the fantastic gardens, water features and fountains, gazing across the lake to watch the sun climbing the sky, silhouetting the dominating Tower of Terror, knowing you could be there in just a few short minutes. Finish off with a relaxing swing with your DH on the hammocks on the beach at the Cabanas area...

And if the coffee doesn't wake you up, a quick trip to the ToT will!

:D

I think if your not really a big breakfast person, the food court should do it. I have noticed that they all seem to have a uniform style to them now. Of course I have to say even if we went with no children, Chef Mickey's would still be on my list for breakfast as often as possible :heart

I agree totally with roncss about Kona Cafe. And the chocolate Lilo should be there when you go :) the girls really got a thrill out of talking to the artist (it was a work of art) that made the chocolate Stitch and he said he was going to be adding Lilo in the near future. His name is Andy Fitzpatrick and I just had to post a picture of the stitch :)

I vote for kona cafe they have fresh squeezed Pineapple juice that is so yummy and the tonga toast is awesome
My second favorite is boatwrights at POR they have an all you can eat breakfast skillet that is to die for
and then my third favorite would have to be Whispering canyon cafe
and if you have a light appetite I would suggest the food court at the CSR they are usually good

Even though I have not eaten there yet (but definitely plan on it now), with all the rave reviews, I would recommend Kona Cafe in the Poly. People can't get enough of their famous tonga toast ! ;)

We've either eaten at a character breakfast or grabbed a quick bite in the room, so I can't offer any suggestions.

But I couldn't pass up a chance to say "WAR EAGLE"!!:D :D

Have a great trip!

Regards,

Thje whispering cannon in WL has a great breakfast with no characters. My DD and I went there for breakfast a few times in 2002 and deemed it our best breakfast of the trip. Both times we went early and it was quiet and enjoyable. The one morning there was only one table besides us and that was great. I am not a morning person and the character breakfasts are a little too much every day of the trip.
