I wouldn't. A lot of the negative reviews were due to certain personnel and that situation has changed. Do give it a try.

We *loved* Storybook breakfast. The food was great, but even better still, the Princesses seem to take moer time with the kids. Mulan sat and colored with DD and Sleeping Beauty stayed for quite a bit and talked about the architecture of the castle and made sure there were no spindles anywhere on property, etc.

I say give it a try first hand, and remember that the servers are foreigners and just act differently and you'll have a great time! :D

We went Dec '02 and it was great. The kids loved it as much as the castle and the food was as good too. :D

PRINCESS STORYBOOK

My DW and I went to the breakfast Nov. '02 and loved it very much. I agree with all the good comments made in prior threads. Also if you book an early breakfast, when your done you can walk around World Showcase almost by yourself! We took pictures of every Country with no one in the frame. Have a great vacation and a Magical day! Joe:)

I would say " Do Not Cancel The Princess Breakfast". If you have never done it, you should go. Sometimes what other people think , is not what your thinking...:hmmm
When DH and I went we had a great time!!! You should always try new things. This way you now have your own opinion, and that's what counts!!! JOANN:)

We were there Oct '02 & loved it. I don't know what time your PS is for, but if you have the first seating of the day & have a little girl make sure to get there as early as possible. They always pick a princess of the day & she gets to wave her wand & open the doors.

We went in Sept. 02 and Jan. 03 and both experiences were fabulous! The service and food were very good and the character interaction was top notch! I must say that one of the managers (Chris?) is one of the finest CM's we've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Ilvminnie is correct about the princess of the day. My DD was chosen in Sept. and it remains the most magical WDW experience we've ever had!

How difficult is it to get the first seating? Could you give me some tips on how to be chosen?:)

When you call to make your PS just ask them for the first seating of the day. It helps to be flexible as far as which day you want to go. As far as getting chosen, make sure you're there 15-20 minutes before your seating. Have her stand right up front by the door & if she's dressed in princess stuff I think that helps. Not necessarily costumes, but cute shirts etc. Good luck.

That's always the best time to call. Since we're on Mountain time that usually means getting up at 4:45 AM to start calling for really popular or specific things. But it's worth it in the long run. Any trip that I've wanted to get CRT for I've gotten it. I don't think there's EVER been a PS that I've wanted that I haven't gotten...maybe not on the specific day I thought, but at some time during a trip. Remember, you can always cancel things later. For example, say you called for Princess for a Tuesday & it was sold out or you could only get a later seating. TAKE IT!!! Then keep calling back each day to see if you can get the first seating for that day. Then if you get it, cancel the other one. Does that make sense??? It's kind of hard to type it all up so it does!!!:dazed :dazed

I just took a chance and called for my date (which is 90 days away today) and wasn't able to get the 8:30 seating, but got the 8:40 seating. Will I still be eligible for princess if I arrive early? Let me know what you think.

Very possibly! Personally, I would make sure you're there as early as they'll let you in the gates. I think we were 20-25 minutes early when we went in Oct. I know it's an early morning, but if it works out it will be a memory you'll never forget. Even if the "opening princess" thing doesn't work out, it will still be a wonderful breakfast!!!

Do they ask you your seating time before choosing the princess, or is it just because you were there waiting? I'm gonna give it a shot. I'll be there as early as I need to. Sounds like a wonderful experience my 7 year old would love. Thanks for the advice!!

No, you just register like you do when you get to any other restaurant you have a PS for. Then DON'T LEAVE THE ENTRANCE AREA!!!! Get her talking to the manager who is usually out front. Or you start talking to him/her. Obviously, the more outgoing folks are the more management notices them. Good luck...and be sure to bring your camera & an autograph book.
