Hello all my wonderful DC friends! As some of you know we are planning on going back to WDW in October 2005 for Emilie's 5th birthday. We have decided to do Hoop De Doo on her birthday which is October 16. Should I call on October 16 of this year to be sure I get the absolute best seat available for the show? Or am I being nuts and thinking about this way too early? I mean we still have 2004 trip yet to come! I just want the big birthday trip to be the best!!!!

Myh experiance with Hoop Dee Doo was they seated you as you arrived. The earlier you arrived the better the seating choices. Just make sure that when you book it you let them know that you are celebrating the birthday! We booked it like 7 months out and we went in July around the 4th and there was no problem getting the PS.

Two years? Nah...

But table assignments are done in advance. I booked early but arrived on about an average time for seating. They have a head CM in charge who yelps for folks attending to come speak with them so they can check your name off the resv. list then they actuall tell you when you will be seated. Since I booked so early (8 months) I was center stage-side seating and was seated in order. (Upstairs first, then stage level, front to back).

So I think as soon as you know exactly when....do it. Remember its a real Reservation NOT a PS!

My experience with Hoop-de-doo was a little different in 2000. I booked one year out and recieved a table in fromt of the stage. People who booked later ended up in the balcony. I arrived for my dinner just as the show was starting (confusion with how to get there). I would call WDISNEY and ask them how the reservations and seating goes and if in fact you get a tabe upon booking, I would do it now. For a birthday, I would do it early anyway. Disney changes their routine a lot, so definately call and just ask so you're not surprised later. Best of luck.
