CRT PS question...

A question for all you experts out there...

We were lucky enough to get a PS for CRT at 8:05 a.m. How long should we allow for travel time from our resort to MK?

We are staying at Coronado Springs. The CM said to allow 45 minutes when we made the reservations, but I've heard the bus service from CSR is good.

Any advice??

Thanks!
:)

For a CRT PS I would allow at least 45 minutes. You don't want to take a chance on being late and losing your PS. You can enjoy a slow walk up an empty Main Street if you are early. It would make a great picture opportunity to have some picture in front of the castle with no one else around.

Always allow plenty of travel time when using WDW transportation. We usually have very good luck with the transportation but once in a while there is a long wait. Don't chance it. Have fun!!!

when you get to your resort, explain to them that you have an early PS at MK and askthem what is the best way to get there on time. I have heard that sometimes they will send you in a van right to the park.

45min. Definately. You have to figure even if the bus system is great, it's going to take you at least 20min to get there. It's going to take you another 10 - 15 min to check-in and walk to the castle. This is assuming that everything runs smoothly. I always give 15min to spare for anything that could possible come up. Sorry, us type A's are strange that way. Hey if you are early, you can take your time down Main Street and enjoy. Who wants to rush on vacation?

Believe me, listen to whatever transportation time the CMs tell you. We didn't--ever--which meant we were late to several PSs, plus Cirque du Soleil! These people know what they're talking about!!!

Although I highly doubt it will take you 45 minutes to get from CSR to the MK, I would still leave that amount of time. You'll be thankful to have a little extra time rather than miss that all-important PS!!!

Thanks for all the great tips everyone!

I'm a "type A" too Dana and I would allow LOADS of extra time (I hate being late) but we are traveling with a group of 10...a couple of which are notoriously late! At least my family of 4 will be there on time :D

mickaholic I'll keep my fingers crossed for a van...can't hurt to ask ;)

And finally, mmouse671, I'll be there two weeks, so I'll be sure to come back and let you know about our experience.

Can't wait!!!!!! :) :) :) :)

I am no expert, but just got back from Disney.Had three PS dinners while we were there, and took every mode of transportation(ferry,monorail,bus,train...).Allow atleast 45 min-1 hour.;) There is nothing worse than rushing and worrying while on vacation. This way you can relax and enjoy the bus ride and walk through the park, because you know you will be on time.:)

I always wrote down a different time for my ps (I told myself they were 15 minutes earlier because I am ALWAYS running late no matter how hard I try!! we rented a car so that wasn't my worry, we had to wait a couple of times for the monorail or the ferry, then we were rushing like fools to crt and I still was 10 minutes early!!!;)

good luck!!

TTFN, Jacki:)

We've had an 8:05 seating there. If you arrive early enough you'll get in front of the PS line at the turnstiles. Keep in mind that they won't let you through the turnstiles until 8:00 and you'll have to walk pretty quickly once you're through the turnstiles if you want to be among the first seated. It's great if you can be... then you can ask for a table by the window. Another bonus - you'll finish before the park opens and be able to be at the rope drop for Fantasy Land. We did this and our whole family was given special Fast Passes to use on any ride in the park. Is the day of your PS an early entry day? If it is, that will make a difference on crowds and transporation delays.

If you have people in your party who tend to be late, tell them the PS is a half hour earlier than it is. This is what my family does to straglers. We have one Aunt who is NEVER on time for anything.:)
