Beaver Tails
Someone at work today asked me if I had ever eaten "Beaver Tails". They said they were a snack in Canada. Since they think I am a DW whiz they all laughed when I said no. The person wouldn't tell me what they are! I am sure one of you will!

Don't laugh, but I'm Canadian and I've never had a Beaver's Tail. But I have seen one (the edible kind that is). I think it's a big roundish fried dough thing that is sprinkled with cinnamon sugar. Have you ever heard of Whale's Tail or Elephant Ears? It's all the same thing :)

OK! I have heard of Elephant Ears. I have eaten them before. Thanks! I told my co-workers I would know by tomorrow. I knew I could trust DC! :D

beaver tails
OK. I'm Canadian and the first time I ever saw a beaver tail (except for the real thing), was a WDW. I think that they are popular in the eastern part of the country. No one in the western provinces have ever heard of them - but hey, it's a big country. They are a deep fried donut-like pastry. They can be topped by numerous things - cinnamon & sugar, strawberries & cream. We tried one, they're good.

The first time I had a Beaver Tail was when we took our DS"s to Canada a few years ago. We had them in the Thousand Lake area - so when we saw them at Disney of course we had to try them. Basically they are fried bread shaped and scored with a knife so they resemble a beaver's tail. They have lots of toppings like chocolate, cherries, etc.. to put on them. Personally, I think they are very yummy.

Well, I told my coworkers I now know all about Beaver Tails. I then relayed all the information I found here! They looked at me...well you can imagine. I'm sure all Disney fanatics get that look from time to time!:D
