My PS's

Ok all, I am closing in on the 120 -day mark and can start to call for PS's. I want to run down my planned places and get your feedback. Please let me know what you think.

Day #1 - Friday 1/30 - Fantasmic! Dinner package at The Brown Derby with llama and her family.

Day #2 - Saturday 1/31 - Breakfast at Chef Mickey's and maybe dinner at Whispering Cannon...not sure because I do not like to make more than one PS per day.

Day#3 -Sunday 2/1 - Breakfast at Boma

DAy #4 - Monday 2/2 - Dinner at Rose and Crown Pub @8:00 to watch the 9pm Illuminations

Day#5 -Tuesday 2/3 - Breakfast at Cindy's (I hope)

So, what do you all think? Suggestions?

Those all sound great!

I've never eaten at Boma's or Rose and Crown, but I've always wanted to eat there during Illuminations!

I don't believe you can make ressies for any of those restaurants until 90 days in advance.

This is from www.wdwig.com: August 4, 2003 - New Priority Seating Official Policy: A standard 90 days in advance for Priority Seatings is now in effect for all Disney Guests (no matter where they are staying or how they booked the trip), except for:

Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue 2 years out
Disney's Spirit of Aloha 2 years out
Bistro de Paris 30 days out
Lunch with a Disney Artist 30 days out
Victoria & Albert's Chef's Table 180 days out
Candlelight Processional Dinner Package Seasonal
Mickey's Backyard Barbecue When Available

PS

Dana - was theRose & Crown made specifically to see Illuminations? Because you would really have to sit on the patio for that and at that time in the evening, in Jan., it would be a bit cool for dining. You're right on the water, and I don't think you can seec too well from inside the restaurant. If you bag a window seat at Chefs de France, (and those tables are for 2), you'll be able to see a bit.

Dana - I would back up your R&C seating to 7:30 and ask to wait for a table for Illuminations. By 8, most of the 'campers' are all ready there. And yes, bring a sweater.

Llama - the R&C has many more patio tables than inside ones, there's a very good chance you can score one with half a try. :D It's our favorite place to see Illuminations from.

Thanks for the heads up! My Passporter says 120 days for all of these, but it is the 2003 version. I am so glad I didn't waste a call to Florida. Thanks for the input all.

Dana:
Most PS's can now only be made 90 days in advance. That applies to guests staying in the park and outside. Here is a copy of what Mickey posted in August, under Front Page News:

"New WDW Priority Seating policy to take effect today!
Walt Disney World has announced a change in their Priority Seating policy that is to take effect immediately, starting August 4, 2003. As of this morning, Disney Reservations booking window will be standardized to 90 days for ALL Guests, including those who are staying on site and off site.

This new 90 day rule holds true for most Disney restaurants, with the exception of the following:

Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue - 2 years out
Disney's Spirit of Aloha - 2 years out
Bistro de Paris - 30 days out
Lunch with a Disney Artist - 30 days out
Victoria & Albert's Chef's Table - 180 days out
Candlelight Processional Dinner Package - Seasonal
Mickey's Backyard Barbecue - When Available

Many of the Downtown Disney restaurants do not accept reservations through Disney, and their policy has not changed. You will need to contact the restaurant directly to inquire of thier policy."

:) :) :) Hope this helps.:D :D :D

Thanks Ron! It does help. Apparently my guide books are outdated and in need of an update. I just bought the 2003 Passporter and the 2004 Unofficial Guide to WDW and they both must have been printed before this rule took effect.

This is why I love this forum. I can get updated answers right away. You guys absolutely ROCK!! :) :) Thanks again.
