You know - and I'm probably going to hear it for this - but I've read this several times and - well - it just BOTHERS me.

We all love our children - that's evident from this web site, and as the mother of 2 girls I remember how easy it is to get caught up in the magic - but $200.00 for one child & adult?? I can't help it, but with all the suffering in this world, I just think that $200.00 could feed a lot of children. Does any little girl really need a $200.00 tea party? I'm not trying to lecture or anything - but, well, sorry, this just really bothers me...

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, definately. It's also more than just the tea party - there's goods involved. Would be nice to see them break out the goods and services and let their be levels of options, but that will be my feedback.

FWIW, the pilot is sold out.

Mickey Mac, I will be waiting to hear all about the tea party! I hope you and DD have a truly enchanting time.
You really could say that going to DW period is a huge amount of money that could be given to needy causes but you never know how much money any person gives to charities or things like that and they are still able to do these kind of things.

Tea party

First of all, is it the child or the adult who really wants this? I love my children dearly but I'm sorry, that is just too much money for a child's party. I think it's a privilege for our kids to get to go to WDW period!

Llama I'm with you!

I am sure that you and your daughter will have a grand time at the Grand Floridian tea party.
Have you considered taking her to see the show at Cirque de Soile? We saw La Nouba. It was excellent and I recommend the show for all parents and children. I have never seen anything like it before and I know that our family will continue the Cirque experience each time we visit DW.

I would LOVE to go see La Nouba, but this is going to sound stupid. We are going through a bathroom phase (and how long does this last, please tell me??!!) When she's excited, every half hour or so, she's got to go to the bathroom. She *always* has to go. I broke my ankle in January and am still having difficulty walking, especially with stairs. We thought about going to La Nouba, but are going to put it off until she's a tad bit older and has more bladder control (or, doesn't need to check out the architecture of each bathroom - she LOVES the ones in the Animal Kingdome) and I can walk better.

Jen, you're right. It is the adult who wants this Grand Tea in my house. I've dreamt about this since I was a little girl. I'm going back into surgery in November and frankly, don't know how successful it's going to be. So, while I can still waltz with my daughter in Fantasy Land, I will, and hang the cost. Thanks for making me see that. :D

MickeyMac, I can't wait to hear all about the Tea Party. I wish I had a daughter to take to this, if I did I would go in a heartbeat. We would eat mac n cheese for weeks if we had to! What a special memory this will be for both of you. Life is too short and we have to live it every day. Enjoy this magic moment with you daughter, she will be grown and have her own family before you know it.
