I always thought that they (CM's) notated it on your PS. Maybe because you have to be staying on property for some PS's. I'm not totally sure.

Could it be that if you are staying in the resort that also hosts that resturant that you get priority above other guests?

I can tell you that if you are not staying on site they want all of your home information... I never thought we could be back at the off property Cinderella syndrom again! Yikes... I promise not bitter just think I am paying a lot to get second class treatment... of course, I guess I could have chosen to stay on site! :D

Maybe it's just for their own statistics. You know - graphs and all those technical things.

You got it Llama. Also it's a way to contact you if need be for whatever reason concerning this priority seating. There is a field in the dining software that asks for the resort and room number if you are on property, and if you are on a package ....like the Silver or Gold plans, they can note that as well so the resort is alerted. Also knowing what resort you are staying at if you are on property can give the restaurant an advantage in returning lost items to you if you inadvertently leave something behind.

See... there is a method behind our madness. :)

Do you really feel second class? If so, who has made you feel this way? I am shocked that a CM would treat you that way, where you stay should make no difference in how you are treated. I have stayed both off property and on property and enjoy staying on property more but never thought about being a step sister because I wan't in a WDW resort. Just wondering.

You don't need to stay off site to be made to feel like a second class citizen. We were made to feel that we just flew in from a Leper Colony (hope that isn't politically incorrect), at the California Grill. 99% of the CM's are GREAT - but occasionally a bad apple sneaks through. Just as you should make an effort to see that the terrific CM's get recognition, I think you should also let the powers that be know when you've been treated rudely.

 Maybe I overstated my feelings... :nervous

However, it just seems there are lots of extas for staying on site that I feel should be open to all... just my opinion... however, because of DC:love: I am learning that I have a lot of options open to me that I did not think were open to me... So I withdrawl my Cinderella Cry!:) :nervous

I hope you truly feel better because I would hate to think off property guests were treated unfairly by CMs. If the only way I could afford to go was to stay off property, I would do it in a heartbeat. No question about it, an off site trip is better than no trip. I just don't think anyone should be treated differenty once inside the parks.

I know staying on site costs more but the extras I get are more than worth it for me to justify the cost. Just the ease of transportation is worth it to me. Early Entry is another bonus we take advantage of most days and we try to hit on E Ride night per trip as well.

I hope you get a chance to resort hop and pick your dream WDW resort for your next trip. Have fun no matter where you stay!

I think Jennly is right. When you check in, the CM prints off all you PS's if you request. If you say you're staying on-site the dining reservationist can note that in the computer and it will be available on this list.

While I understand that these bonuses are for the resort guest, I would like it if they would allow off siters to take advantage of this as well.:D I guess it would not be much of a bonus if they did that though... but with the parks closing so early in the fall I think that they should open this time up to everyone... :) :)

It would make my trip this time much easier to plan if we had the extra hour at each park...

One of the benefits of staying on-site is early entry. That is one of the many incentives to stay on-site. You pay extra to stay on-site and therfore you get perks others don't get.

I agree with this...I don't usually stay on site, and I completely understand the fact that on-site guests get more perks! (Like Extra Magic Hour, E-Ride Night, Free Parking, Free Disney transportation right at your doorstep, etc). Disney is more expensive and it is one of the ways they lure people to stay in the "World", rather than a cheaper place right outside! I definitely think it a good marketing ploy!!! ;)
