Please help me decide

I am trying to decide if I should purchase Q & C meal vouchers for 11.25 ea from Hotwire Savings Club ( free 30 day trial then 7.95/mo) but I am having a hard time locating the best places to use them. For instance, in April we ate at Cosmic Rays for lunch and my DD has requested we go back so she can see the entertainment :D but I don't think we spent alot on our meal then so I can't say that the vouchers would be a good idea here.

What are some places you have used these vouchers and gotten a great deal.

I am planning to do the Beaches & Cream and now for sure San Angel Cantina (sp) @ Epcot. Also I am planning on picking up the ones at AK too! Outside of that what is the best place to use these. Also I'd like to know if the portions size is large enough for me and DD (6) to share.

Thanks in advance

I don't like to see threads go unanswered. I've never done the vouchers. Could you post a list of the restaurants involved and maybe someone would have some suggestions. As for sharing entrees. My husband and I often share. I find the portions at WDW overwhelming.

I looked into the meal voucher thing a while back and decided aginst it.
If you do a search you should find some other threads on the subject.
I'd look into it very carefully before making a decision. I don't remember why I decided aginst it, but I can tell you I research all things very carefully.
Good Luck

Wow, the hotwire prices are really good, even better than the connections prices, and they are at least reputable. For $11.75, they would be a good deal for adults, but not for kids. You can get a list of where they are good at, and what they are good for here:

Lunch/Dinner certificates

Character Breakfast Certificates

The prices on Hotwire are as follows:

Breakfast adult: $17.75
Breakfast child: $11.00

Lunch adult: $30.50
Lunch child: $12.75

Quick and Casual: $11.25

As far as I can tell, the Lunch certificate is good at just about any WDW restaurant. All of the vouchers include the entree, side dish, drink and dessert, plus tax and gratuity.

For $11.25, my guess is that most of the restaurants, if you got the food, side dish, drink and dessert, you would probably save a couple of dollars or more, plus you could share the food. There is a great article on using the vouchers wisely at Mousesavers.

I agree with BUZZ, I researched the whole meal voucher thing the other day and I not going with it. I didn't feel I would save anything and it would lock me into those few restaurants. My wife and I too share meals. :D

Thanks everyone for your responses..I too have been researching these vouchers trying to decide. I think that I will definately do the breakfast ones since it would save me about $28 on both CM and PSB. The Q & C are the ones I am having the hardest time with...I know that we will be dining at Cosmic Rays and Pizza Planet per DD request :heart so it wouldn't be much of a savings there. To me it seems I can eat at all those places listed for less than $11.25. I may be wrong, it may save a little but don't want to limit my options. I've got to decide by tonight so I can order and recieve before we leave on Friday :dazed Thanks again!

Okay... here is the situation with the Q&C vouchers... we had them for our trip in May. I loved them from the aspect that everything was paid for. We always got our money's worth out of them... however... we would not have always ordered as much food as the voucher allowed. We simply ordered what the voucher allowed so we could make sure we got our money's worth.

I will probably use them again in the future because I appreciate having as much paid off on the front end as possible.

Anne, this is exactly how I feel!!! I personally will use the vouchers at Beaches and Cream again...that was a great deal! We also used them at Tusker House in AK and it didn't save us THAT much money...and like Anne said, I wouldn't have ordered desert for lunch anyway! (maybe if I used it for dinner, I would have!) But AK does have their own meal voucher which is great. I have a bunch of Q&C vouchers left over from my last trip and I plan to use them in December! Oh, I also heard the place in Epcot in Morocco was a good deal...but other than that, you have to really check into it!!!

The VERY BEST meal voucher, in my opinion, is the Vacation Kingdom Lunch vouchers. Use these as your dinner...and you can get an EXCELLENT meal for just over $30...tax and tip included! For example, when I was there in August, we ate at the last lunch seating in Alfredo di Roma in Italy Pavillion in Epcot. This was at 4:15pm (close enough to dinner time, right?!?) We ordered the best of everything...appetizers, entrees, desserts, drinks, coffee, tea.......EVERYTHING was included! And they never left our glasses empty...we NEVER had to ask for another drink...they just kept bringing them! It was a $180 meal (with tax and tip) and we paid $90............that, to me, is a DEAL!!!

We also got a great deal at Le Cellier in Epcot....the steak alone is approximately $20!!!!

As for breakfast vouchers, they aren't THAT much of a discount, but they cover all taxes, tips and like Anne said, EVERYTHING IS PREPAID long before you go, so you don't have to worry about money coming out of your pocket!

I highly recommend them. Others have been weery about using them, but I had nothing but great experiences. Please let me know if you need any further info.

FYI, do a search here and type in VOUCHERS...there are a bunch of threads on the subject! ;)
