What is the Crystal Palace like?

It was still under construction on our last trip. What is it like? Is it something we should aim for or would another be better? I haven't read much about it.

This was probably all covered when it opened but I missed it.

Cyndy: Though our kids are grown and gone, we still LOVE the Character Breakfasts at CP. The Pooh Characters are great, as are the CM's and the buffet-style meals. :D :D :D We have not yet tried lunch or dinner there, so hopefully others will comment on those. We hope to get back to CD during our Dec '03 trip. Here is what it looked like when we were there Feb '02. :) :) :)

Thanks for the pic! I guess on our Feb '02 trip, everything was so...I don't know...overwhelming to us that we missed the CP. During our nov '02 trip it was closed for renovation. I think I will put that on our Must Do List.

Thanks!

Oh, it is such a great place!!! I would definitely recommend going there...especially if you love Pooh and friends! When I was there in August, Pooh stood by the breakfast buffet and you could go see him whenever you wanted to! All the other characters went around to the tables. It was a great experience, my 22 month old ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! So much, that he would not let Pooh go...and he was running around the restaurant laughing and screaming after him!!! He even tried to follow him into the back room, behind the kitchen!!! :dazed :laugh It was a lot of fun! (I think I have pics posted from there on the FAVORITE PICTURES thread!!!) ;)

We had lunch there twice. Both times were great with the character interaction and there was a good variety of foods.
Have fun!!

We've been to CP for breakfast & lunch and loved it both times. The characters were great. Breakfast was better though because it was not as busy. We always like to go to character dining at the least busy times.:)

I had the lunch buffet there. My kids were teens and they had a good time goofing around with the characters. The food was also good and it all made a very nice memory. At the time one of the CM's who was one of the "Kids of the Kingdome" was my daughter's dance teacher and he made some special things happen for us. It was our best trip ever! (until this next one in less than 2 days!!!)

Hi Cyndy.

My family and I always make a point of going to CP at least twice when on vacation. It has a lovely atmosphere and the staff are fantastic. The food is great and the character time is wonderful. We were fortunate enough to go off season and as there were so few people there, the characters were all over us for something to do. It was great great fun !!

Please go. You will have a wonderful time !

Great PIC Ron!! I love CP. As I said in another post, I ate there on Easter Sunday in 2000 and try to eat there at least once on every trip. I love the buffet and the Pooh characters. Eeyore is the coolest. It's a definate "must do" if you have never tried it there.

Cyndy-
I have to agree with what everyone else says.

We ate there for dinner for the 1st time last week and it was great. As you can see from Ron's picture, it's very pretty inside. The buffet was yummy and the characters great!

I was there two years ago for breakfast with my 5 year old niece. She (and I) loved it. It was relaxed and unhurried. We didn't feel like the staff was anxious to have us finish. The characters were very attentive and took the time for pictures and such. Definitely recommend it.

Okay let me sum it up like this if my dad comes out of LUNCH BUFFETT saying that was worth $20 dollars each then it must be AWESOME! It was! We went in March and we loved it. That was our first visit and first ever character meal. We loved it so much we are going back this March for lunch again!!!!
