YA HOO! Hoop-Dee-Doo!

This month the PS Planning Guide is featuring one of my favorite Walt Disney World PS events, the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at Disney's Ft. Wilderness Resort & Campground. I've been going to the Hoop-Dee-Doo since my honeymoon in October of 1983...hey, I guess that makes it our 20th wedding anniversary!! :D

So, stop on over to the PS Planning Guide to find out what all the song singing, dancing, joke telling and eating is all about!

Happy Planning! :)

In your review which was wonderful by the way it says that when you get checked into the Hoop Dee Doo that is when your seat is assigned. Is that true?

When I called in May to make my visit in November I was told it goes by the date the reservation was made.

Anyone know?

I have to kids who are a little pooky to say the least so it is important that I know.:dazed

This is new information I got just recently that has been confirmed. Although, the size of the party does come into play as large groups tend to be in back and couples off to the side both up and down stairs.

I just called Disney Dining and they told me that it is based on the date of the reservation. I am so confused now. She said that the podium does it based on the date the reservation was made.

Thank you for calling and, since I don't work for Disney, please, go by what they said and I will try again to nail this down.

Sorry to make you worry. The layout of Pioneer Hall is excellent and has great viewing from all the tables. The cast comes out into the audience several times throughout the show. Have fun!

One year just DH and myself went. We were seated upstairs. We could still see and hear absolutely everything. Several times CMs in the show came up to find birthday guests, anniversaries, etc. Last time we went there were 4 of us and we were seated near the back of pioneer hall. We still had no problems seeing or hearing or even with feeling a part of everything. I really dont think any of the seats are bad.

I have to agree with everyone. There is not a bad place to sit.
I think it is really a great show!!!! We've done it so many times, but we are thinking about going back again in May!!! It really is a fun show!!!

Hoop De Doo is reservation based seating not PS seating. Earlier the reservation the closer your table, provided your group is not too big require handicapp access, or you specifically request seating further away from the stage...

When you arrive at the theatre you check in with a seating chart person and your table is confirmed not assigned. You are then called to your table in an order to accomodate the seating arrangements from balcony front to rear then stage to rear of the house.

I love Hoop-Dee-Doo. I have been there twice. I went once on my senior trip in 1991 and again in 2000 with my DD. I enjoyed it very much both times. Hey, 20years? Congrats!

Just a friendly bump with one week left until a NEW PS Spotlight is put up. I changed the information back to saying tables are assigned when you make your PS which is the correct way.

Sorry for the confusion there.
