Flame Tree Barbeque

We took advantage of the Meal Deal at AK. We ate at the Flame Tree and I thought the barbeque was good...not great but nothing to really complain about. We ate under a pavillion near the lake behind it and had a wonderful view of the workers working on the Mt. Everest ride. Later we were able to get a big soft serve cone and another refreshing coke! I think it was the best deal we came across. I wish all the parks offered this. ;)

Magic Kingdom was testing the program late last summer. I wish they would come around with something, too.

Thanks for the feedback on Flame Tree. I've always wanted to eat there, and always loose to Pizzafari. :( Wah.

We truly enjoyed the Flame Tree Barbecue.
Its kind of like fast food, yet so much different than the usual burgers fries and chicken you find everywhere else.

We have wanted to try this place, but it always closed when we go. Love the Tusker House though. And the AK meal deal is great!

This has probably been answered before but...

How do you get the AK meal deal? Do you order it from the menu at Flame Tree or do you have to get a voucher for it someplace else? Do all the places to eat have it?

Sounds like a great deal!

You get at the restaurant you are eating at. I told the CM I wanted the voucher meal. I used the coupon for the meal right then, got the chicken (half a chicken I think) with mashed potatoes and a drink. I used the coupons for the second drink and snack (either popcorn or ice cream) later when we watched the parade! I even bought the voucher for DS. It really is a great savings!

We loved FTBBQ when we ate there. Last time we went to AK, we had PSs for RFC. For the rest of the day, every time we went past Flame tree bbq, poor DH looked sad. I have PROMISED him that when we go again he can definitely go to Flame Tree.

Flametree in my opinion is the best counterservice in all of WDW. It tastes like home cooking. Eating outside by the lake was like a picnic lunch. We will definitly be back there again.

My DD and I have always opted for a huge breakfast at Breakfastsaurus and then we usually have a dinner show or big dinner somewhere. We always get done with AK by 3pm. Msybe this time I will opt to try this voucher deal. I didn't realize what the FTB served. I thought it was your regualr hamburger/chickenb strips deal they have everywhere else. Thanks for the info guys. I was in the dark on this one.:)
